Iranian troops hold large-scale joint military exercises off the country's southeast coast

According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency, on November 7, local time, the Iranian army held a joint military exercise code-named "Zulfaghar-1400" (zolfaghar-1400) in the southeastern waters and coastal areas of the country.

Mahmoud Mousavi, a spokesman for the exercise, said that electronic warfare equipment and a variety of Iranian domestic drones such as Sadiq and Smolge were rehearsed during the exercise. He stressed that the exercise conveyed a message to regional countries that security in the region should be maintained through solidarity among regional countries and relying on regional national capabilities.

According to the report, the exercise covers an area of more than 1 million square kilometers, from the eastern strait of Hormuz to the northern Indian Ocean. The Iranian Army infantry, armored units, mechanized units, as well as the Navy, Air Force, air defense forces and other major tasks participated in the exercise. (Reporter Li Huizhong)
