Preface
I have a dream.
I have always had a dream to walk all over the great rivers and mountains of the motherland in my lifetime.

China is a vast country with a vast territory of more than 9.6 million square kilometers; 34 provincial-level administrative regions (including 23 provinces, 5 autonomous regions, 4 municipalities directly under the central government and 2 special administrative regions); 333 prefecture-level administrative regions (including 293 prefecture-level cities, 7 regions, 30 autonomous prefectures and 3 leagues); 2,844 county-level administrative regions (including 977 municipal districts, 393 county-level cities, 1303 counties, 117 autonomous counties, 49 banners, 3 autonomous banners, There are 38,773 township-level administrative districts (including 20,988 towns, 8,562 subdistricts, 8,102 townships, 966 ethnic townships, 153 Sumu, 1 ethnic Sumu and 1 county).
It is obviously unrealistic to go through all the township-level administrative areas; but it is entirely possible to go through the county-level administrative regions. In the 2844 county-level administrative regions, traveling at an average rate of one place a day takes 2844 days, that is, 7 years, 9 months and 19 days, (plus various special circumstances and arrangements, it may be extended to 10 years) to travel through China's county-level administrative regions.
The ten years from retirement at the age of sixty to the age of seventy are the best time in life to match the three aspects of energy, time and economic conditions. Ten years of national travel with the goal of traveling through county-level areas, I named it: "County China Miles".
What a crazy, grand, time-consuming idea!
But I want to practice it.

Hebei chapter
Our "County China Online Tour" will start from Hebei Province.
Hebei is located in the North China Plain, bordering the Bohai Sea in the east, the Inner Ring Of Beijing and Tianjin, the Taihang Mountains in the west, the Yanshan Mountains in the north, and the Zhangbei Plateau in the north of the Yanshan Mountains, and is the only province in China that has plateaus, mountains, hills, plains, lakes and seashores.
The province has a population of more than 75 million and a total area of 188,800 square kilometers. It administers 11 prefecture-level administrative divisions, and 21 county-level cities, 91 counties, 6 autonomous counties, and 49 municipal districts, totaling 167 county-level administrative divisions.
We will start from Langfang City, travel in a clockwise direction, through Cangzhou, Hengshui, Handan, Xingtai, Shijiazhuang, Baoding, Zhangjiakou, Chengde, Qinhuangdao, and end our county trip in Hebei Province in Tangshan City.

In the early morning, facing the rising sun, drive away from home next to the Beijing Olympic Park, all the way to the east, traveling 71 kilometers, taking 1 hour and 30 minutes, to Sanhe City, under the jurisdiction of Langfang City.
Langfang City is located in the middle and lower reaches of the Haihe River Basin, known as the "lower reaches of the Nine Rivers". There are 5 railway trunk lines, 7 highways, 10 national and 20 provincial highways. The Langfang area has produced famous figures such as Zhang Hua, a literary scholar of the Western Jin Dynasty, Wang Zhizhuo, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, Lü Duan, a famous minister of the Northern Song Dynasty, Su Xun, a literary scholar of the Song Dynasty, Shi Tianze, a famous minister of the Yuan Dynasty, and Liu Liu, the leader of the peasant uprising in the Ming Dynasty.
Langfang administers 2 county-level cities, 5 counties, 1 autonomous county and 2 municipal districts.
Our "County China Miles" line Shenyou Langfang Station will start from Sanhe City, pass through Dachang, Xianghe, Langfang Downtown, Yongqing, Gu'an, Bazhou, Wen'an, and end in Dacheng County, with a total of 9 travel destinations.
Sanhe County was established in the fourth year of the Tang Dynasty (716 AD), and in 1993, with the approval of the State Council, the county was withdrawn and established as a city.
In Sanhe City, we will visit attractions such as Lingshan Temple, Lingshan Pagoda, Jingdong First Hot Spring and Sanhe Grand Canyon, and taste specialties such as Sanhe Chicken, Sanhe Bean Skin, Steamed Meat Cake, Stuffed Tofu and Sanhe Meat Cake.

Leaving Sanhe, the journey is 18 kilometers and takes 30 minutes, and we come to Dachang Hui Autonomous County.
Dachang has successively won the titles of "National Food Industry Strong County" and "National Science and Technology Progress County", and is the best global tourism destination of "China National Tourism" in 2018.
In Dachang, we can visit the Dachang Nationalities Palace and many mosques such as Luying, Damazhuang, Nansitou, Shuiwu, Beicao Household Chore, etc., to appreciate the customs and customs of the Hui ethnic gathering areas; taste the eight bowls of halal, sesame roast cakes, oil incense, Jingdong meat cakes, Yipin Zai reed leaf rice dumplings and other local specialties, and see the food culture of the Hui people.
Board the bus again, take 30 minutes, travel 16 kilometers, and come to Xianghe County.
Xianghe won the title of The Best Leisure Tourism Destination of China National Tourism in 2018 and was named one of the Top 100 Counties in China in 2019.
In the past, I only knew that Xianghe meat cakes were famous in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, but I didn't know that Xianghe's lamb's eye buns, Xingying stinky tofu, and Xiyuzhai pastries were also famous specialties. The first city in the world of Xianghe, the Toon Camp Mosque, the Lotus Expo Park of the Nine Holy Mosques, and the Chaobai River Wetland Park are also worth a visit.
Leaving the Xianghe River, crossing the junction of Beijing and Tianjin, the journey is 64 kilometers, which takes 1 hour and 20 minutes, and we come to langfang municipal government seat, Guangyang District and Anci District.
Langfang City is located in the lower reaches of Haihe River, known as the "lower reaches of the Nine Rivers".
In Langfang, you can visit Jinfeng Yike Park and Langfang Culture and Arts Center, or swing in Fenghe, Elifeng She or Oasis Fengying Golf Course.
Driving 30 kilometers and 50 minutes southwest from Langfang City, we came to Yongqing County.
Yongqing is the largest pollution-free vegetable production base in Beijing and Tianjin.
In Yongqing, after tasting Yongqing Huji roast chicken, Yongqing donkey meat, Bagou sugar cake and Yongqing Huluobu, you can visit Yongqing Bai Pagoda Temple, Daxinge Liao Dynasty Stone Pagoda, Yongqing Song Liao border pass ancient battle road ruins, Yongqing Guanyin Zen Temple, Beizhao Mosque and Anyu Mosque.
It took 28 kilometers west of Yongqing and 50 minutes to reach Gu'an County.
Gu'an is strategically located, known as "the foot of the Son of Heaven" in ancient times; now it has the reputation of "Pearl of Jingnan".
Gu'an is north of Beijing's Daxing District, where attractions such as geothermal wells, Yongdinghe Bicycle Sports Park, Wanglong Village Droni Sutra Building and Dahanzhai Mosque are available for sightseeing, as well as specialties such as shortbread, cylinder oven cakes, Gu'an stewed hangings, fried thousand seeds and meat stir-fried oil skins.
Drive 1 hour and 50 kilometers south from Gu'an to Bazhou City.
Strictly speaking, Bazhou City and Sanhe City are both county-level cities in Langfang.
Here, you can visit the Bazhou Chinese Bicycle Museum, Shengfang Ancient Town, Yijin Academy, Longquan Zen Temple, Rong Gaotang Memorial Hall, Li Shaochun Memorial Hall, Wang Family Courtyard, Zhangjia Courtyard and other tourist attractions, and you can also taste local snacks such as Shengfang Crab, Su Mao Soup, Green Onion Cake, Shengfang Pine Blossom Egg, Hanging Oven Baked Cake and Peanut Glutinous Rice Cake.
38 km south of Bazhou is Wen'an County.
Wen'an has a long history and profound cultural heritage, and its place name is derived from the meaning of "advocating civil rites, governing the country and the state".
Waiting for you here are local attractions such as Wen'anwa, Longtan, Wanmu Lotus Pond, Wen'an Ancient City Wall, Daweihe Mosque, and local delicacies such as meat cakes, chestnut noodle nests, Wen'an boiled fish, Suqiao Jin Ji smoked fish, Wen'an pears, Wen'an peaches and other local delicacies.
From Wen'an, we continue to the south for 40 kilometers and drive for 1 hour, and we come to Dacheng County, the southernmost point of Langfang City.
Known as Xuzhou in ancient times, Ayutthaya was located at the junction of the three kingdoms of Qi, Yan and Zhao, and was later renamed Pingshu. In the fifth year of the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC), Dongpingshu County was established, and it was renamed Ayutthaya by the Fifth Dynasty later Zhou.
After visiting the ruins of the Great Wall of Yanzhao, the Tomb of Qi Tu Tart Han, the Tomb of Longzuka, the Tomb of Guodi Village, the Tomb of Liu Hanru and the Ruins of the Ancient City of Santo in Dacheng County, and after tasting the dried fruits of Ayutthaya, kidney bean circle, pea yellow, Ayutthaya donkey meat and Ayutthaya duck pear and snowflake pear, our Langfang county trip also came to an end.
