Liu Guofu, 68, is from Shuishui County. In 2015, he and his wife went to Qinghai to bring grandchildren to their son Liu Hao (pseudonym), who lived in Qinghai for 6 years.
At about 6 p.m. on September 6 this year, Liu Guofu finished dinner and went out for a walk alone. Almost 2 kilometers from home, a minivan sped from behind and knocked Liu Guofu to the ground.
120 ambulances took Liu Guofu to the local hospital. The examination revealed that he had severe head injuries and multiple rib fractures.
"When I arrived at the hospital, I saw my father with gauze wrapped around his head, but he could still sit and talk on the phone, but the next day he was unconscious and entered the ICU." Zhu Guochao said that Liu Guofu was in a coma for a long time, and it was very difficult to regain consciousness, so she immediately convened a team to discuss the condition and formulated a rigorous and meticulous treatment plan.
Boosting pressure, fighting infections, nutrition... Treatment is a set of "combination punches", and what is more difficult is that the treatment process is quite long and requires close observation by medical staff at all times. Liu Guofu's trachea should be sucked at any time, turn over every two hours, prostrate, limb massage, nasal feeding every 4 hours, wipe and scrub on the bed every day, and call his name every day to wake up...
After the first ten days, Liu Guofu's vital signs remained stable and he could receive the next stage of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

On October 13, Liu Guofu began to receive hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and Liu Hao has been staying with his father. Hu Ying, director of the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Center, found that he was frowning, and he would encourage him to "have confidence" and "persevere". "The old man is in the state of tracheostomy, when doing hyperbaric oxygen, the oxygen pipe and the tracheal casing should be connected well, and only by giving a first-level support can the purpose of promoting awakening be achieved." Hu Ying waited for Liu Guofu on time every day to ensure every detail.
On October 18, the 6th day of hyperbaric oxygen treatment, Liu Hao chatted with his father in his hometown dialect in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber: "When you are well, I will get out of the land in my hometown, and you can plant whatever you want." Liu Hao chatted while helping his father move his joints. Suddenly, he saw his father's mouth open, he thought he was wrong, and looked at it again, yes, his father's mouth was moving! Suppressing his excitement, he approached his father carefully, saying to him over and over again, "Dad, can you hear me?" Do you know where we are now? ”
Liu Guofu seemed to understand his son's inquiry and squirmed hard. After a while, Liu Hao heard Liu Guofu spit out two words: "Yes." ”

In the following days, Liu Guofu recovered smoothly and in better and better shape. On the 25th, he was transferred from the ICU to the general ward, which means that he passed an important hurdle and went to recovery.
