Beijing News (Reporter Li Yan) According to South Korean media sources, South Korean singer Choi Jong-hoon, who was sentenced to five years in prison for suspected sexual violence and illegally filming videos, appealed through legal representation on December 4, not satisfied with the first-instance judgment.
Choi Jong-hoon committed collective sexual violence against women in places such as Hongcheon and Daegu in Gangwon-do in January and March 2016, and uploaded illegal footage in chat groups. On November 29, a South Korean court ruled in the first instance that Choi Jong-hoon was sentenced to five years in prison, 80 hours of sexual violence treatment, and a ban on employment in juvenile-related institutions for five years after his release from prison.
