(Anjieka/Translation) After its release in November 2018, the film "Although I Just Lost My Phone" recently decided to produce a sequel to the film that grossed more than 1.96 billion yen at the box office. Yudai Chiba, who starred, said: "I played the criminal police officer who tracked the incident in the first part, and this time I will dig deep into his personal part, so I think friends who have watched the first part can also watch it happily." (The following contains some spoilers for the first part)
The previous novel, adapted from Akira Shiba's web suspense novel, depicts the heroine Asami Inaba (Keiko Kitagawa) being involved in an incident when her lover loses her mobile phone. This sequel features the traumatic criminal police officer Kagaya Gaku, played by Chiba. The story begins with the astonishing content of kagaya's reappearance of new bodies at the same scene a few months after a series of killings that should have been solved. Zhi Cha's original book title was "Although He Just Lost His Mobile Phone, He Was Imprisoned".
Ling Narita, who was caused by his unique acting skills in the previous game, also appeared as a serial killer in prison, Urano. Chiba said happily, "I am very happy to see the director and the staff again. Interestingly, in the previous game, I was often said that the face was very similar to Narita, and this time there were many scenes between the two of us, and the audience should not be confused (laughs). ”
Narita on the other side was full of energy: "I'm very excited. I didn't expect to have a second part, and I could still appear. I'm glad that so many viewers watched our best-in-class previous game, "Even Though I Just Lost My Phone." In order to make everyone move again, we will work together as a team to make excellent works. ”
Like his predecessor, Hideo Nakata directed the film for the director. It is scheduled to be released in 2020.
