The Plains Guerrillas were the armed forces active in the North China Plain during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. In the protracted war, the guerrillas used many unique guerrilla warfare tactics, such as sabotage warfare, mine warfare, sparrow warfare, ambush warfare, tunnel warfare, and siege warfare, to deal a heavy blow to the enemy.

During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the plains guerrillas went deep behind enemy lines, used ingenious tactics to catch secret agents, take artillery towers, cut off traffic, dismantle railways, attack stations, break water pumps, destroy locomotives, blow bridges, cut wires, burn warehouses, and lay mines, effectively striking at the enemy.
