The meeting pointed out that the renovation of the Wucheng Campus and the relocation project of the Dongshan Campus are of great significance, and are the key projects to strengthen the infrastructure construction of our school and improve the conditions for running the school.

At the beginning of 1902, Cen Chunxuan, the governor of Shanxi, changed Lingde Hall into Shanxi University Hall, and appointed Yao Wendong, the alternate Dao of Shanxi, as the first superintendent (equivalent to the president), and Gao Xie was once the chief teacher, taking the Taiyuan Wenying Hunan Township Trial Tribute Institute as a temporary school site, accepting jinyang academy and Lingde hall students, and officially opening the school.
