Xinji has a long history, and there were some feudal states here during the Western Han Dynasty. Historically, the name of the establishment of Xinji market has also changed many times. The area around Xinji was historically known as Yan County, and during the Northern Qi Dynasty it was renamed "Anguo County", and its seat of governance was in the area of today's Bei'an Ancient City. After Emperor Wen of Sui ascended the throne, He renamed Anguo County as Anding County.
Why is it called "Anding County", which has to start from the time of Emperor Wu of han. The eldest son of Emperor Wu of Han was Liu Zhao, who was made crown prince according to the system. However, because Liu Zhu was involved in the scourge of the witches and was killed, this left the position of prince vacant. At that time, there was a king named Liu Dan who was sealed in the present-day north-central Hebei and Jingjin regions, and when he saw Liu Zhao's murder, he felt that his opportunity to become crown prince had come.
So he colluded with the local subjects and privately built weapons to plan rebellion. In the end, the prince was ordered to cut himself, and he took out his clothes and hanged himself. Because of the tyranny, Liu Dan was given a "thorn" after his death.
After Emperor Xuan of Han succeeded to the throne, he ordered that Liu Xian, the son of Liu Dan the Prince of Yan, be made the Marquis of Anding, and his fief was in the area of present-day Xinji.
Later, the Marquis of Anding was abolished, and the jurisdiction was once renamed Anding County. Emperor Wen of Sui restored the old name of "Stability" to this county, and I am afraid that it also contains the new emperor's desire for stability in the world.
In 596, Emperor Wen of Sui ordered a new county to be named "Yancheng" (晏城), and 2 years later, Anding County was renamed Lucheng County. In 605, Yancheng County was abolished and merged into Lucheng County. In this way, in the short period of 22 years from 577 AD to 598 AD, the jurisdiction of Xinji changed the name of the county three times.
In this way, the place name of Lucheng County has been used for more than 100 years. In 756, An Lushan and Shi Siming rebelled, which is known as the An Shi Rebellion. In this 8-year turmoil, many people in the north moved south, which fundamentally changed the distribution pattern of China's population.
In order to show his dislike for An Lushan and other rebel generals and at the same time pin his confidence in defeating the rebels, the Tang Emperor renamed several counties in today's Hebei with the character "deer". Luquan was renamed Yulu, Lucheng was renamed Shulu, and Fangshan was renamed Pingshan.
Later, the deer was renamed Luquan, and after the founding of New China, it went through the process of changing counties into county-level cities and county-level cities into districts. The name of Pingshan County has been used to this day.
For a long historical period, the name of Shulu County was used. After the founding of New China, Shulu was renamed Xinji according to the county seat. This situation is similar to the situation in Xincheng County renamed Gaobeidian City. Naturally, that's the last word.
