Eazy-E, September 7, 1963 – March 26, 1995, formerly known as Eric Lynn Wright, was a former member of the gangster rap group N.W.A. Eazy-e was born in Compton, California, in a suburban area of Los Angeles known for gang activity and crime. His father was a postman and his mother was a school administrator. Eazy-e dropped out of high school in his freshman year and supported himself by selling drugs, and invested his profits in the label Ruthless he founded.
After eazy-e signed dr.dre and ice cube to compose the single "boyz n the hood", eazy-e formed n.w.a with dr.dre and ice cube. Dj yella, mc ren, the arabian prince joined later.
When N.W.A. was established, Eazy-E never wanted to get involved in rap, he just came to offer money instead of talent. But when ice cube heard his rap, he couldn't help but sing the lyrics he had written.
n.w.a, full name niggaz wit attitudes, consists of ice cube, mc ren, dr. dre, dj yella, eazy-e, arabian prince. It is believed to be the essence of gangsta rap. The legendary group, named the 83rd Best Artist of America all time by Rolling Stone Magazine, was founded in 1986 and disbanded in 1991.
During this time, they sold more than nine million albums in the United States, including several platinum-selling records and straight outta compton, which pioneered Compton's Rap Center. N.W.A was boycotted by most mainstream radio stations and even angered the FBI and the police for abusing the police.
Eazy-e is only one meter sixty-five tall, compared with the tall and burly companions around him, his figure is much thinner, but he is the core of n.w.a., eazy-e with his young and powerful high-pitched voice, coupled with a high focus on those street life lyrics, covering guns, drugs, residents and police, abnormal sexual behavior, etc., forming its own unique style.
However, in the heyday of n.w.a., the relationship within the group was strained due to disagreements. An explosive revelation followed that eazy-e jerry heller was embezzling public funds. Ice Cube was the first to discover this, which led to his earliest departure from n.w.a., and he also wrote about them in his diss song, which in 1991, with the release of ice cube's "no vaseline", the group has objectively fallen apart. Immediately after, eazy-e dr. dre also began to contradict, ruthless records and dr. Dre's newly formed label, death row records contradiction is also involved.
In 1992, Dr.Dre left N.W.A to suge Knight's Death Row.Suge Knight threatened N.W.A's agent Jerry Hibber, saying that if he didn't end his contract with Dre, he would look good. Because of this, in the next two years after him, Eazy-e and Dre formed a conflict, and they each attacked and insulted each other in the album. Mc Ren and Yela also released their own solo albums, but they were gradually forgotten in the fierce competition in the rap world. Eazy-e was still seriously making his own music.
While there is no best rap technique, his voice and lyrics make him a star figure. Eazy-e was diagnosed with AIDS on 24 February 1995 and died on 26 March of the same year at the age of 31. Eazy-e is considered one of the most important figures in the history of gangster rap.
