On June 14, World Blood Donation Day, Nanyang City held a grand commendation meeting for unpaid blood donation in the Concert Hall of Nanyang Normal University, and Shi Lei, a police officer of the Criminal Investigation Detachment of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, was jointly awarded the "2012-2013 National Blood Donation Dedication Award Silver Award" by the National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People's Republic of China, the Red Cross Society of China and the Ministry of Health of the General Logistics Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
Shi Lei, male, 32 years old, a member of the Communist Party of China, has been engaged in criminal investigation work since joining the public security work in 2007, and is currently the deputy head of the criminal investigation brigade of the criminal investigation detachment of the municipal bureau. Since joining the police, he has cracked more than 180 cases of various types and arrested more than 300 criminal suspects, making positive contributions to the city's work of cracking down on criminal crimes.
In his daily work and life, he is always willing to dedicate, and takes "helping others and happy himself" as his motto, and always practices the purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly with practical actions. Since 2002, he has insisted on voluntary blood donation for 11 consecutive years, and has donated blood more than 40 times so far, donating 9,000 ml of blood, which is twice the total amount of blood in his body. In May 2006, Shi Lei also took the initiative to go to the Collection Point of the Red Cross Society of Nanyang City to complete the collection of hematopoietic stem cells, and gloriously joined the China Bone Marrow Bank as a hematopoietic stem cell donation volunteer.
