As a post-90s CNC lathe technician, Shi Lei's fame seems to be a bit early.

In 2013, 23-year-old Shi Lei participated in the Zhejiang Provincial Enterprise Post Training Skills Competition, won the first place in the CNC lathe project of the Provincial Skills Competition, and was awarded the honorary title of Chief Technician of Zhejiang Province. Of course, this is inseparable from Shi Lei's excellent technology. As a CNC lathe technician of Zhejiang Nikfa Precision Machinery Co., Ltd., Shi Lei and his team solved technical problems such as "design and processing of lead screw fixed seat tooling in vertical and horizontal machining centers" and "machining technology and assembly of power tool table in 20f turning and milling composite center".

"Work hard, look up and do it." This sentence is Shi Lei's motto.

Until now, Shi Lei still remembers his first technical problem and the sense of accomplishment after completion. It was 2010, and Shi Lei was studying at the Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University, processing a thin-walled mandrel turning of titanium alloy at the Metalworking Center. "Usually the materials we process are aluminum alloy or steel, as far as the material is concerned, titanium alloy is more expensive and rare, the most headache is that this material is hard and thin-walled." Shi Lei frankly said that after a little processing or cutting, the material began to burn, and there was no way to carry out the next operation. But Shi Lei did not give up, tried various process modes to solve the deformation of this material and find a cooling method, in half a month, Shi Lei continued to try to sharpen the tool and improve the completion of the sample, and finally completed this problem. c

Referring to the honor competition he won in 2013, Shi Lei said very modestly that he did not know where he performed well. "Feel normal play, no tension, should be a good attitude to let yourself get the first place in the province."

In addition to delving into technology, Shi Lei also summarized his own experience into the textbook, he has participated in the "CNC turning processing and practical training integration course" textbook. "In my spare time, I am also recently preparing to write a CNC machining textbook to analyze various parts of the company." Shi Lei said that the book will mainly revolve around some practical experience, not just a simple copy and paste of writing materials.

Shi Lei said that he especially likes to communicate with colleagues, and many of his apprentices participate in the CNC skills competition and win the national ranking. "We need a large number of skilled craftsmen to turn Chinese manufacturing into Chinese quality manufacturing, to realize our Chinese dream, the dream of a big country craftsman." Shi Lei said that he often educates his apprentices in this way, of course, he is also spurring himself to constantly pursue new processes and new methods.
