In a recent interview, Qualcomm's incoming CEO Amon said that if anything keeps him up all night now, it's a supply crisis in the semiconductor industry. There is currently strong demand for technology products, but the semiconductor supply chain is not ready. Amon said the chip supply crisis could continue until the end of 2021. But most chip companies, including Qualcomm, don't make chips themselves, because it takes a year to build a brand new chip factory.
