Mt 19:21 Jesus said, "If you are willing to be a perfect man, sell what you have and give it to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven, and you will come and follow me." (See Matthew 19:16-30)
A rich young man asked Jesus what good deeds he had to do to have eternal life (v. 1). He saw Jesus as a teacher, not a Savior. He asked Jesus questions not to truly know Jesus or to understand salvation; He thought that eternal life could be bought by doing good.
This man wanted Jesus to tell him the secret of eternal life. Jesus loved the young man and said to him, in addition to keeping the commandments, if he is willing to be a perfect man, he may sell all that he has and give it to the poor, and he will have treasure in heaven and will come and follow the Lord Jesus. It's a pity that this young man only cares about too much of his treasure on earth and doesn't want to obey the Lord. The Bible says He went away in sorrow because He did not receive eternal life in Jesus.
If we are to be perfect human beings in Christ, we must submit to confession and repentance in the light of the Holy Spirit, and receive God's redemption and eternal life in Christ. After receiving this rich grace of God, we should do our best to love God and love others as ourselves, and be willing to humble and follow the Lord; In order to accumulate wealth in the day.

Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for giving us eternal life in Christ. Lord, teach us to be perfect people who are obedient to You, to offer ourselves to the Lord with a heart that loves the Lord and loves others. Pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, O people!
