Florence
Florence originally meant "flower capital" in Italian, and the famous world of xu Zhimo at that time translated the name here as "Emerald", which added more poetry. The Arno River divides the city in two, and on the river stand old bridges, and the bridge is lined with handicraft workshops such as gold and silver jewelry shops. Florence is the cradle of the Italian Renaissance and is one of the most beautiful cities in Italy and the world. There are more than 40 museums and art galleries, more than 60 palaces and many large and small churches and squares, with a large collection of excellent art and exquisite cultural relics, and its historical center has been declared a world cultural heritage by UNESCO. If you open a list of great poets, painters, architects, philosophers and politicians who were born or worked in Florence, you would have to write several pages. Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli, Masaccio, Galileo, Titian, Raphael... Just by listing these names, you can imagine the literary atmosphere here.
San Gimignano
In the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun", you can already enjoy the beauty of the Italian mid-west region.
However, when you come here in real immersion, you will experience her charm first-hand.
Beautiful San Gimignano is located in Tuscany, 56 km south of Florence, and is an important replenishment point for pilgrims to and from Francesco and Rome.
Driving through the rolling fields of Tuscany, the sun sprinkling unsparingly on the vast land, you will notice this small town perched on the hills, the iconic dozen or so medieval towers are so proud to point to the blue sky, we know that San Gimignano has arrived.
It is said that the aristocratic families who controlled the city at that time built a total of 72 towers (about 50 meters high) here to show their wealth and power. Today, only 14 remain.
Walking in the small town, if you look up casually, you will see the tall tower, and the blue sky and white clouds reflected in the back are more agile on this pure afternoon.
Sangimignano produces white wine in addition to its iconic towers. Standing in the city, you can see a large number of vineyards, where the climate is suitable for growing grapes, and the white wines made by themselves are delicious. In fact, my favorite is white wine, which has more mellow and lingering aromas than red grapes.
Pienza
Pienza is a small city in the toscana region, in fact, the Italian should be called "campagna", translated into Chinese means: countryside. Say it's rural, because it's in the mountains, I prefer to call it a city, because it feels more holistic and more important.
The city of Pienza is full of farmland, the city is built on the hill, and the view from the city is very pleasant. Pienza is very small, there are two gates, one in and one out, from this gate to the other is only 5 minutes.
The town is also known as the Italian City of Music, and the churches here often host concerts.
Siena
Siena is the embodiment of a medieval city. In order to gain the right to carry out urban planning on this land, the inhabitants competed with Florence and won, allowing them to retain the city built in the 12th and 15th centuries, realizing the Gothic dream they sought. During this period, the likes of Duccio, the Lorenzetti brothers and Simone Martini allowed European art to develop in Italy and beyond. The Pastoral Plaza here brings together masterpieces of urban design throughout the city, designed as if the artwork blends in with the surrounding landscape.
The cathedral, the opera house, the Bründa fountain, etc. are all important points to see.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Italy, and its highlight is only the Leaning Tower. Construction began in 1173, and five or six years later the tower began to slope from three floors until it was completed. Eventually the Italian government had to close the Leaning Tower in 1990.
Legend has it that in 1590, Italian physics was born in the city of Pisa
Legend has it that the scholar Galileo Galilei once did a free fall experiment on the Leaning Tower of Pisa, threw two spheres of different weights from the same height at the same time, and the result was that two shot put balls landed almost at the same time, thus discovering the law of free fall, overturning aristotle's previous view that heavy objects would reach the ground first, and the speed of the falling body was proportional to its mass. But in fact, the two iron balls cannot land at the same time because of the problem of air resistance.
Luca
Only 20 km from Pisa, Lucca is one of the transport hubs of Tuscany and an important tourist city. There are many styles of ancient churches, and there are also many art collections that attract tourists. There are many famous places to visit in the ancient city, walking in the ancient streets of the big stone paving, perhaps eating the world's first ice cream that is indispensable for Italians in summer, and letting the body feel the coolness left by the predecessors next to the stone wall polished by the years in front of the cathedral. Or head to the city center, where the theater left behind by the ancient Romans has evolved into a circular square of residential houses to enjoy the gentleness left by the sunset scattered on the multi-colored pink walls.
Lucca is surrounded by the world-famous Tuscan scenery, from where you can report day trips, go to the small town of Vinci for a wine tasting, and then visit the Leonardo da Vinci Museum to admire the creations of this great artist during his lifetime. Go a little further and take a stroll through the Cinque Terre, where countless people have already painted their picture.
tips:
(1) Pisa to Lucca line
This line can be used as a day trip, Florence - Lucca - Pisa - Florence train in a circle, do not go back, is my first promotion around Florence. Train from Florence to Lucca in the morning, an hour and a half drive, from Lucca to Pisa around noon, 20 minutes by car, and in the evening from Pisa back to Florence. Since there is a mountain in the west of Lucca, the sun goes down earlier, so it is recommended to go to Lucca in the morning to play, and to Pisa in the afternoon to watch the Sunset of the Leaning Tower.
(2) Siena (siena)
Siena can take almost half a day if you play in the whole city, so it is not recommended to combine it with other cities for a day trip, you can return to Florence early to shop. The Florence to Siena train takes an hour and a half, and there are also buses to and from Siena, because I have a lot of motion sickness from the first time I arrived in Italy, so I rarely choose buses to travel.
(3) Sangimignano
In the Tuscan town of Flowers, there is a stop called Poggibonsi in the middle of the train from Florence to Siena, buy a ticket directly from the bar in the train station (explain why the bar buys a ticket below), and buy a car in San Gimigliano. Out of the train station gate is the station, the basic departure time is according to the train arrival time, so buy a ticket to go out to get on the train, 15 minutes by car. The direct bus from Florence takes more than an hour.
(4) Others, there are some ancient towns and cities near Florence that are farther away, such as Bologna, which takes half an hour to reach by high-speed rail. Perugia, train for an hour and a half. Arezzo, an hour and a half by train, the filming location of "A Beautiful Life," and so on. Of course, it takes about two hours by train from Florence to laspezia, which is also the starting point for Cinque Terre.
