This blue peacock seemed a little afraid of us at first.

But then I didn't seem to be afraid of us, so I took some photos to share with you.

The blue peacock is 90 to 230 cm long, has a wingspan of 130 to 160 cm and weighs 4-6 kg. The male has an upright crown and gorgeous plumage. The tail feathers are special, far more than the tail feathers. It has 20 tail feathers.

It lives mainly in hilly forests, dry semi-desert grasslands, shrubs and deciduous forests, especially near waters.

It feeds mainly on seeds, insects, fruits and small reptiles.

It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The blue peacock is so cute and beautiful that it can be raised. Do anyone still eat its flesh?

I checked the latest edition of the 2021 List of Wildlife under National Key Protection. Among them, the green peacock, gray peacock pheasant and Hainan peacock pheasant are national first-class protected animals, and the blue peacock seems to be absent. Is it because our country does not have blue peacocks?
