A few days ago, in accordance with the spirit of the "Notice of the All-China Railway Federation of Trade Unions on Carrying Out the Labor Competition activity of "Research and Development and Innovation of Chinese Standard EMUs" in the Scientific Research and Manufacturing System of Railway EMUs," the All-China Railway Federation of Trade Unions decided to award 10 advanced collective locomotive trophies, including the Equipment and Technology Department of the Science and Technology Management Department of the China Railway Corporation, and 40 advanced individual locomotive medals such as Guo Shudong of the General Department of the Science and Technology Management Department of the China Railway Corporation, in recognition of the advanced and inspiring morale.
In 2016, the railway technology innovation represented by the Chinese standard EMU has made significant progress, and a number of independent innovation achievements have been made in the Chinese standard EMU with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, locomotive trucks and train control systems with completely independent intellectual property rights, and outstanding achievements have been made in railway design, construction and equipment modernization. Railway system science and technology staff have the courage to explore and strive to innovate, and have made outstanding contributions to accelerating the construction of railway technical standard system and promoting the internationalization of Chinese standards, and have made remarkable achievements.
The Federation of Railway Federations hopes that the commended collectives and individuals will cherish their honors, be modest and prudent, guard against arrogance and impetuosity, continue to make unremitting efforts, continue to do a good job in all work, constantly create new achievements, and write new chapters; it is hoped that the organizations at all levels and the vast number of cadres and workers at all levels will take the commended advanced collectives and individuals as an example, strengthen their confidence, forge ahead, work in a down-to-earth manner, consciously shoulder the historical responsibility of railway scientific and technological innovation, continuously increase the intensity of application and innovation, and earnestly enhance the safety level and economic benefits of railway enterprises.
