Ran Zhuang's bells

Ran Zhuang's bells

When I was a child, there were very few movies to watch, and I often watched the "Three Wars": "Tunnel Warfare", "Mine Warfare", and "Southern Expedition and Northern War". The story of "Tunnel Warfare" is said to be based on the deeds of the ranzhuang people's anti-Japanese struggle. The movie "Tunnel Warfare" made the deepest impression on me, not how the people of Ranzhuang used the tunnel to fight the devils out of nowhere, but the music of the devils entering the village. It was later learned that the music was a fragment from the Seventh Symphony of the Russian composer Shostakovich. In addition, the film interlude "Chairman Mao's Words on my Mind" is also one of my favorite songs to hear and sing the most.

The Ranzhuang Tunnel War Site, which is the location of Gaojiazhuang in the movie "Tunnel War", is located in the southwest direction of Baoding, 40 kilometers away from Baoding. In that year, the people of Ranzhuang dug a long tunnel to save themselves and fight against the Japanese. Ranzhuang's tunnels could not only hide, but also be able to strike at the enemy flexibly and flexibly, which made the Japanese Kou feel frightened. In the movie, we can see that the livestock trough, under the pot table, in the closet, in the big tree, everywhere is the tunnel mouth; on the high house, under the mill, in the corner, outside the ground, everywhere can destroy the enemy. The enemy wants to release smoke, and the smoke is poisonous and cannot be put into a wisp; the enemy wants to release water, which is precious, and let it flow back to its original place. When the enemy entered Ranzhuang, it was not only difficult to walk on the ground, but also passively beaten when he entered the tunnel. It is true that "a tunnel war has been launched in the Great Plains of Thousands of Miles, and the villages and households have been connected to each other. The invaders dared to drive, and they fought in all directions, and the others who hit them also turned over on their horses! ”

The struggle of the ranzhuang people now seems very light and easy to say. In fact, every improvement and improvement of Ran Zhuang Tunnel is permeated with blood lessons. The early 1940s were the most arduous period of the War of Resistance Against Japan. The japanese Kou's large-scale sweep of our base areas and the cruel "three lights" policy caused the anti-Japanese base areas to suffer huge losses. At the same time, it also enabled the broad masses of the anti-war soldiers and civilians to gradually realize the madness and brutality of Japanese imperialism. In particular, the publication of Comrade Mao Zedong's "On Protracted War" is more like a bright light and points out the direction. "The Chairman's ideas spread in all directions, and the revolutionary people had a proposition." The War of Resistance is protracted, and it is impossible to attempt a quick victory. In order to better persist in the War of Resistance, we must protect ourselves. Only by protecting yourself can you most effectively destroy the enemy. The tunnel of Ran Zhuang was developed in this situation, and it can also be said that it is necessary for a long-term war of resistance.

The first time I went to Ran Zhuang was in high school, and my classmates and I went by bicycle. At that time, Ran Zhuang was still very primitive, and the inside and outside of the village looked tattered. I saw that the big sign on the wall read conspicuously: "Good People's Commune!" It is said that the Ranzhuang Tunnel Battle Memorial Hall had a plaque inscribed by Marshal Nie Rongzhen in 1959. We wanted to visit the tunnel, and the villagers said that the tunnel was not allowed to enter now, for fear of danger. Go and see the old locust tree that rings the bell. The old locust tree is on the cross street of the village, and the big bell of that year is still hanging from the tree. Standing under the old locust tree, I seemed to see the heroic gesture of the old village chief who risked death to ring the bell, and heard the shocking alarm bell again.

Later, I visited Ranzhuang several times, and every time I went, I could feel the development and changes of Ranzhuang. Now Ranzhuang has long become a patriotic education base, and the Ranzhuang Tunnel War Memorial Hall, which shows a modern atmosphere, stands majestically in the village. In the memorial hall, you can not only see the revolutionary cultural relics one by one, but also personally drill into the tunnel and experience the history and magic of the Ranzhuang Tunnel. The use of sound and light and other means to reproduce the authentic struggle of the ranzhuang people in that year is also a feature of the memorial.

The old locust tree on the cross street in the village still stands. According to the tour guide, this old locust tree withered in the second year after filming "Tunnel Warfare". This seems to be declaring that the people of the world have completed their historical mission. Although the old locust tree has no life, the people of Ranzhuang have not forgotten it. They hooped the tree with reinforced concrete, so that it still remains the same as it was then.

Today, although the old village chief has long stopped ringing the bell, the bell of Ran Zhuang is still ringing in people's ears. It is a wake-up call to the world, never forget history, never war, always peace and tranquility; it also tells people that peace is not begging, peace is to be defended by war!

Oh Ran Trang!
