Helplessly, the bully landlord Huang Shiren wants to dominate the young and beautiful Xi'er, Xi'er's father is forced to commit suicide, and Xi'er is also bullied by Huang Shiren. The tortured Xi'er escaped from the tiger's mouth with the help of the Huang family's maid Zhang Er'er and entered the deep mountain cave dwelling. Xi'er, who has been sleeping in the wind for a long time, is known as the "white-haired woman" due to lack of salt intake, and eventually a green silk turned into white hair.

In 1951, the story of "The White Haired Girl" was put on the screen, and once it was broadcast, it caused a strong response; the lyrics in the 1965 ballet "The White Haired Girl" were sung: "The north wind blows, the snowflakes flutter..." Are even more sung by people, touching the heart. However, most people only regard "The White-Haired Girl" as a dramatic story, in fact, there are really white-haired women in history, and her deeds are also legendary.

The real white-haired woman named Luo Changxiu, she was born in Zhangwantou Village, Fengyi Township, Yibin County, her parents gave birth to three children, Luo Changxiu is the second, she and the family snuggled up to each other, difficult to live. Unlike in the opera, Luo Changxiu's family is relatively wealthy, with a few acres of thin land, but it is obviously not enough to cope with the family's livelihood, so her father often goes out to find work to subsidize the family, unfortunately, the perennial fatigue crushed this loyal and honest man, and also crushed the family.

Luo Changxiu was humiliated and wanted to escape home but was always caught, and when he was cornered, Luo Changxiu thought of the Broken Head Mountain. Broken Head Mountain is a branch of Mount Umong, where the fog is shrouded all year round and the beasts are crowded. There is a local song and ballad: "The mountain of broken heads is miserable, and ten people enter the mountain and nine heads are broken." This makes The Broken Head Mountain even more mysterious and terrifying. But at that time, Luo Changxiu seemed that even living in such a deep mountain and being accompanied by wild beasts was better than being tortured in Luo Xilian's house, so she fled to the Broken Head Mountain.

When he first arrived at Broken Head Mountain, Luo Changxiu was terrified every day, not only to resist the attack of wild beasts, but also to consider his daily life. She lived a life similar to that of a primitive person, living by eating wild fruits and drinking mountain springs every day, and making a skirt out of leaves when her clothes were worn; She also found five caves to live in and store food... Over time, she slowly adapted to life in the mountains, her soles thickened, her hair thicker, and her posture more sensitive, allowing her to avoid the attacks of wild beasts and protect her needs. But inevitably, due to the long-term life in the mountains, Luo Changxiu's body lacked salt, and gradually her hair turned completely white.

(2) The second half of life of peace and tranquility

Luo Changxiu spent the best seventeen years of her life in the mountains, until 1956, when she was discovered, she had difficulty communicating with people because of the long-term non-communication with people. Her skin is dark brown, her feet are inward, and her eyes are squinting. When she was rescued and returned home, she received care and help from all aspects of society, not only providing her with a place to live, but also teaching her life skills and arranging work for her. In 1958, Chen Yi specially received Luo Changxiu and praised her spirit of resistance.

In 1957, Luo Changxiu was introduced by a neighbor and married Wen Shurong, the production captain of a commune. At the end of 1958, she gave birth to a boy, named Wen Care, to remember the care of the party and the people, he grew up to join the army, and after retiring from the army, he was assigned to work in the industrial and commercial office in his hometown. On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China in 2001, CCTV produced a 21-minute talk column, "The Real White-Haired Girl", which told the story of Luo Changxiu's life experience, and she was also known as the "white-haired woman" in Sichuan. In his later years, Luo Changxiu's children wrapped their knees around their knees and enjoyed the joy of heaven until December 31, 2002, when Luo Changxiu died at home at the age of 80.
