(The Woman Who Told History – No. 1726)
Hideki Tojo, together with Hitler and Mussolini, was hailed as the three fascist leaders of "World War II", and this gentleman was fierce, cruel, and vicious, and eventually he was hanged as a Class A war criminal. However, this big devil did not have a little manliness before he died, but behaved very softly, even very funny. In July 1940, when Hideki Tojo was minister of war (land minister) in the Japanese Guards Cabinet and president of the Manchurian Affairs Bureau, he personally concocted a regulation called "Battle Front Training" advocating the Bushido spirit of Japanese soldiers to die loyal to the emperor:
As a Japanese soldier, if defeated, you can't be captured, you can only commit suicide!
Among Japanese soldiers, the highest state of suicide is suicide by caesarean section. So, Hideki Tojo himself, he should have led by example, after the defeat of the war, he committed suicide by caesarean section, did he do it? He did choose to commit suicide, but instead of a "respectable" caesarean section, he took two other ways.
The first is to shoot himself, but he has mischievously deflected him; the second way is to hide in the toilet and hang himself secretly. But he did not have a rope, nor did he have the determination of the famous female writer Sanmao, who committed suicide by hanging his neck with his nylon stockings as a rope. At that time, Tojo was rubbing a rope with pipa paper and hanging it around his neck, but the paper was too weak and broken, which was simply funny. In the end, he pretended to be dashing in front of the gallows, wrote a poem, and wanted to become a Buddha. For more information, this issue is broken down.

(1) From the Sword Dance to the Baden-Baden Secret Covenant
It should be said that Hideki Tojo was also a man with great ambitions since he was a child. He was born 10 years before the sino-Japanese Sino-Japanese War broke out, so he failed to catch up with the first Sino-Japanese war in modern history. Imagine a 10-year-old child, even if he is a genius, can fight again, and follow his father to participate in the Battle of Jiawu, it is estimated that it is also the life of feeding fish. Therefore, The Heavenly Men spared no mercy and let Hideki Tojo live for another 54 years, but in the end, he was thrown into the sea and fed to the fish. This is a postscript, not mentioned.
It is said that on December 30, 1884, in Iwate Prefecture, 932 miles northeast of the Japanese island of Honshu, 932 miles from Tokyo, a boy fell to the ground in a traditional samurai family. The child's father, Lieutenant Hideyoshi Tojo, was overjoyed, and hey, there was a successor again!
Hideki Tojo's father, Hideki Tojo, had different ambitions, he learned martial arts since he was a child, was the first chief graduate of the Japanese Army University, and later became the enlightener of the Modern Japanese Army, the proud protégé of Major Merkel of Germany. He was also a militant and later participated in the Sino-Japanese Sino-Japanese War.
Hideki Tojo was the third child of Hideki Tojo, but the first two died prematurely, so Hideki became the eldest son of the family. At this time, his mother Tokunaga Chitose (this name is quite cattle, it is estimated that the head is not small) because of the third birth of her son, she was also eager to shout "Amitabha!" ”
Hideki Tojo has been given high hopes by his parents since he was a child, and naturally he wants to learn martial arts and serve the army and be loyal to the emperor. In order to cultivate his son's bushido spirit, the British Sect also specially invited a martial artist to teach Yingji to learn the "Divine Sword Flow Sword Dance".
However, Hideki Tojo has been very stubborn since childhood, not a fuel-saving lamp. I often fight with people at school, but I don't go home to call my parents. In particular, Hideki Tojo has had a tough personality since he was a child and never accepts defeat. Once, he offended a big child, and the other party slammed him on the ground and said, "Disobey? ”
Hideki Tojo gritted his teeth and replied, "Not convinced!" ”
So the other party beat him again, beat him with a blue nose and swollen face, and then asked him if he was satisfied. But he still didn't say a word of obedience. In the end, the other party obeyed, so he had to let him go.
When Hideki Tojo was 15 years old, he was sent by his father to study at the Tokyo Army Kindergarten School. During the military academy, the eight-nation alliance invaded China, and Hideki Tojo was overjoyed and prepared to go to China to do something after completing his studies. In short, Hideki Tojo was very manic when he was a teenager.
In 1904, the Russo-Japanese War broke out. Hideki Tojo, who was 20 years old at the time, was eager to try it, and he came to the playground at every turn to show his unique sword flow sword dance in front of his classmates. Amid the cheers of his classmates, Hideki Tojo was complacent, as if he had become a hero.
Later, at the strong request of Hideki Tojo, he also participated in the Russo-Japanese War, but he also went to China for a walk and did nothing. Until he joined the Baden-Baden Group.
On October 31, 1921, with the encouragement of Crown Prince Hirohito of Japan, Japanese junior officers Nagata Tetsuyama, Toshishiro Obata, and Ninji Okamura discussed the political and military situation at home and abroad at the Baden-Baden Hot Springs on the Rhine River in Germany.
The next day, Hideki Tojo also arrived in Baden-Baden and joined the secret covenant. However, at that time, Hideki Tojo was not high enough, and when the three men were talking in secret, he could only be responsible for keeping a guard outside the door. But he also became the fourth man in the Baden-Baden group. Later, the notorious Ishihara Guan'er, Daisaku Kawamoto, Kenji Toihara and others also joined the group, and they jointly advocated the so-called "greater East Asia co-prosperity". So, the disaster in the world, the disaster in China came...
(2) Peeing his pants with excitement when he was appointed Prime Minister
Since joining the Baden-Baden Group, Hideki Tojo has been on the path of realizing his "Dream of a Great Japanese Empire." Later, Japan launched a war of aggression against China, and almost every major evil committed by the Japanese Kou against China was related to Hideki Tojo. After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Tojo served as the commander of the gendarmerie of the Kwantung Army, and his main task was to maintain law and order in Manchuria and suppress the Northeast Volunteer Army, during which he killed Deng Youmei, the leader of the Northeast Volunteer Army.
However, compared with other Japanese leaders who invaded China, such as Ninji Okamura and Kenji Doihara, Hideki Tojo does not seem to have committed too many specific crimes, he is mainly the mastermind and authorizer of Japan's alliance with fascist Germany and the challenge of Britain, the United States, Russia, and other countries, and is also the planner and authorizer of the Pacific War. Without his support and authorization, Isoroku Yamamoto and others would not have been able to attack the United States. Because Tojo had held important positions such as Minister of Land, Interior, and Prime Minister, in Japan, he was the highest power holder besides Emperor Hitohiro, and was a worldwide war maniac.
Hideki Tojo had a strong desire for power, and he tried to squeeze out others and become the most important person for the Japanese emperor. Later, Hideki Tojo's great-grandson Hidetoshi Tojo revealed a ridiculous thing. On the night of October 16, 1941, Hideki Tojo was summoned to the palace by Emperor Nishihiro. The Emperor said quietly, "I order you to form a cabinet." ”
This meant appointing Hideki Tojo as prime minister. Although Hideki Tojo was already equal to Lu And already had great power, he was still very excited to hear that he was going to become prime minister, his legs were trembling, and he even peed his pants.
(3) Suicide performances
On August 15, 1945, Emperor Renyu of Japan announced his surrender. The War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, which killed 35 million people in China, finally came to an end, and world war II, which killed more than 70 million people around the world, officially ended. This is followed by the trial and punishment of war criminals.
On January 19, 1946, the International Military Tribunal for the Far East was formally established in Tokyo, Japan, with representatives from 11 countries, including China, the United States, the Soviet Union, Britain, and France, participating in the trial. Starting on May 3, 28 Japanese Class A war criminals were tried for more than two years. In the end, seven war criminals who committed the most heinous crimes were sentenced to death: Hideki Tojo, Kenji Doihara, Ishigen Matsui, Akira Muto, Seishiro Itagaki, Hiroshi Hirota, and Shotaro Kimura.
However, Hideki Tojo committed two suicide attempts before going to the gallows. Because he had announced in his "Battle Training" that Japanese soldiers would commit suicide after defeat. After Japan's surrender, many people committed suicide by carrying forward the spirit of Bushido. According to historians, in the week after August 15, 1945 alone, 526 Japanese committed suicide, from marshals to soldiers, from generals to sailors.
For example, Japan's former Rikusu Sugiyamamoto, former Rikusu Anan and his wife, former Prime Minister Fumimaro Konoe, etc. all committed suicide, of which Anan only committed suicide by caesarean section.
Hideki Tojo, of course, also committed suicide. His first suicide occurred before he was held and tried, when he still had a certain amount of personal freedom, so he had the opportunity to choose to commit suicide. However, although this demon had sworn to resolutely defend his dignity, that is, not to be a prisoner, not to be a ghost under the enemy's knife, and to commit suicide, he did not start until September 11, 1945. Moreover, he has not yet carried forward his own Bushido spirit and committed suicide by a crisp and sharp caesarean section. This jun (song) is very afraid of pain, so he adopted the European and American suicide method, that is, shooting himself.
Later, it was thought that Hideki Tojo's suicide was a show. Because he didn't shoot directly, he asked the health doctor to mark his heart and draw a circle the size of a wine glass around the heart so that he could shoot it in the circle. But he rubbed and rubbed and did not act. He washed off the mark in the shower, so he asked the doctor to draw it again; washed it off, drew it again. It has been rubbing for more than half a month.
By September 11, General MacArthur, commander-in-chief of allied forces in Japan, issued an arrest warrant for Hideki Tojo. Hideki Tojo saw that the delay could not be passed, so he made up his mind. When the American gendarmes who had captured him knocked on his door, he pulled out the pistol that Hitler had given him and fired a shot at the circle in his chest.
The American gendarmes and reporters were taken aback when they entered the door, when Hideki Tojo sat dejected on the couch and groaned, his chest bleeding profusely. He had a pistol in his hand and smoke was still rising from the muzzle.
The Americans rushed him to the hospital for rescue. He had lost too much blood and needed a blood transfusion. But at that time, the hospital's blood stocks were insufficient, and an American soldier generously donated blood for it, not enough at one time, and donated it again. However, this soldier did not pity the Tojo Demon, he said, "I want him to live, that is, to let him be punished as he deserves, to let him die so quickly and so safely, a little too cheap for him!" ”
Hideki Tojo finally survived. However, there was a lot of talk about his suicide, and many people thought he was doing a performance. Because as a war maniac, a soldier, Hideki Tojo, who often plays with guns, will not know how to shoot himself to death, such as taking a gun to his temple or the back of his head or the back of his head or The latter's mouth, a pull of the trigger is solved, but why does he only shoot in the chest? Besides, he was left-handed, and when he committed suicide, he shot with his unskilled right hand.
Toshijo Hideki was so sly of the question: "I didn't want to die undignified, so I gave up the way of shooting from the mouth; as for why the bullet was deflected, it was because the skin on my chest was sagging, so the mark on the heart part that the doctor made for me was also a bit off." ”
Oh, Tojo this old fritter is really cunning.
(4) Temporarily holding the Buddha's feet
However, if you can drag it past the first year, you can't drag it out for more than fifteen. Hideki Tojo stayed in the hospital for a month, and when he was almost nursed, he was unceremoniously escorted out of the hospital by the Americans and sent to the Omori Prisoner of War Shelter. This made Tojo lose face and did not want to be a prisoner. Since then, this old guy has been tried by the International Tribunal.
However, this trial lasted for nearly three years. During this time, Hideki Tojo has always dreamed of the opportunity to turn the tables. He did not admit his mistakes, believing that everything he did was just, and he only admitted 1 of the 55 crimes given to him by the court, and the other 54 were not recognized. He also defended himself in detail, a 220-page 200-plus-word defense of more than 200,000 words. The court read his defense for almost three days.
Hideki Tojo's self-defense can be described as shameless:
"China's antipathy to our great Japan has existed for a long time; however, Japan has never invaded Manchuria."
"I think there is absolutely nothing wrong with waging a war, and this is a legitimate thing to do."
Of course it's all. But Tojo's old dog was serious and innocent in court, and he always insisted that his actions were all for the purpose of creating a new order in Asia, in order to create a "common prosperity in Greater East Asia", Japan did not invade China; as for Japan, it was because the other side started the war first, and Japan only wanted to defend itself. At that time, Hideki Tojo also wrote a letter to Lieutenant Colonel Ken wage, captain of the gendarmerie of the International Military Tribunal for the Far East, to beautify himself:
"Peace in the Far East is the heartfelt wish of me and others living in East Asia. World peace is a long-cherished wish shared by the people of the whole world. "The conch's antennae are necessary for the purpose of protecting the body. But because it has tentacles, it is said to be a belligerent animal, which is a big joke."
Yes, these words of Hideki Tojo are big jokes. In fact, this autumn grasshopper can't bounce for a few days.
At 3:52 p.m. on November 12, 1948, the nearly three-year trial of Hideki Tojo finally came to an end, and the Military Tribunal for the Far East finally sentenced him: Hideki Tojo, 64, a native of Tokyo, who had served as a major general of the Japanese Army, the Minister of Land, the Minister of the Interior, the Prime Minister, and the Chief of Staff, and was sentenced to death by hanging.
Hideki Tojo was notified on December 21 and hanged two days later. At this point, he was completely stupid, so he made two last demands to the court, one was to express his love for his country and eat an authentic Japanese meal on the last day of his life: Japanese food; instead, he met with the prison teacher before he died. After being approved, he patiently waited for death.
However, the cunning Hideki Tojo tried to make a trick at the last moment, and he committed suicide again. On the night of November 22, the night before his execution, U.S. Colonel Pelo was inspecting the prison when he spotted Tojo trying to hang himself in a toilet. There was no rope in the toilet, how did he hang himself?
In fact, if you want to commit suicide, there are still many ways! Later, the famous writer Sanmao committed suicide in the bathroom, and she hanged herself with long nylon stockings as a rope. Hideki Tojo thought of a more "genius", and he actually used toilet paper to make a rope to hang himself. Of course, this rope is very unstable. When he put a snare of paper rope around his neck, the rope broke with a snort. He did not succeed in suicide. This was a miserable situation, and this war maniac had to face the service of hanging at the end.
In the early morning of December 23, 1948, after finally eating a bowl of Japanese food, Hideki Tojo and the others were taken to a special Buddhist hall in prison, where the old monks recited the sutra for them. After Hideki Tojo was imprisoned, he also falsely believed in the Buddha, but this was also a temporary embrace of the Buddha's feet. Can the old fritters that kill people as a joke and have harmed countless people in their lives be forgiven by the Buddha?
Before walking to the gallows, Hideki Tojo handed a string of rosary beads and a pair of tortoiseshell-rimmed glasses to the prison instructor and entrusted him to his family.
After being identified, Tojo walked up to the level 30 gallows. At the last moment, Hideki Tojo also pretended to be dashing, and wrote a poem in Chinese:
This time, the earthly mountains cross from the beginning,
Maitreya Buddha's side is only a place to go, how happy.
Tomorrow begins, no one is afraid of anything,
Maitreya Buddha's only sleeping place, how leisurely!
As can be seen from the poem, Hideki Tojo's Chinese proficiency is still quite good. It's just that this Juntian is shameless, a fool talks about dreams, and at this time he still dreams of going to the Western Heavens to find Maitreya Buddha, and he also wants to enjoy the Elysium, can he still think of becoming a Buddha?
Pigs eat turnips – think crisp!
When Hideki Tojo went up to the last step, facing the rope noose on the execution rack, he could no longer get up, but his legs trembled with fear, and his body was like a sieve. I don't know where his Bushido spirit has gone.
Eventually his head was put on by the executioner in a black hood and stuffed into a rope loop.
At 0:30 a.m. on December 23, Hideki Tojo shouted, "Long live the Emperor!" After that, the body was suspended in the air.
After Hideki Tojo's death, the ashes were taken by the Americans by plane and thrown into the sea to feed the fish.
Deserve!
