Shanghai, 17 Feb (Xinhua) -- As one of the cities on the mainland that attracts the most investment from Taiwan businessmen, Shanghai has gathered tens of thousands of young Taiwanese people to start businesses, work and live here. Under the epidemic situation, they "celebrated the New Year on the spot", and they made their own wishes for the Year of the Ox during the Spring Festival.
Huang Guoxiang: Let "Zhu Chun" float in more mainland cities
Staying in Shanghai for the New Year, Huang Guoxiang, general manager of Shanghai Zhuchun Restaurant Management Co., Ltd., has one more content in the Spring Festival schedule: store tour. In winter, watching customers holding a cup of spring buckwheat milk or golden ginger milk, Huang Guoxiang felt that his heart was also warm.
Three years ago, Huang Guoxiang founded a Taiwanese humanistic tea brand in Shanghai under the name of the ancient famous pot "Zhu Chun", and opened his first store in the fashion landmark Xintiandi. Relying on taste, quality, and the creativity of integrating elements such as ink painting and Chinese kung fu into new tea drinks, Zhuchun has developed steadily in the mainland market and has a group of loyal "spring powder".
In 2020, the epidemic suddenly broke out, and the catering industry was hit hard for a while. After surviving the cold winter, the number of Zhuchun stores increased from 16 to 28, and it also ranked among the "Top 50 Trend Restaurants" at the "China Catering Industry Trend Summit" held that year.
At the beginning of the new year in 2021, Zhuchun has successively "dropped" in Fuzhou, Fujian and Longkou, Shandong. Huang Guoxiang revealed that he will continue to expand with a focus on East China and South China, and strive to increase the number of stores to 100 within the year.
"Adhere to Taiwan's traditional tea art, and innovate according to the characteristics of consumption in various places." It is expected that the Spring of the Year of the Ox can be perfumed in more mainland cities. Huang Guoxiang said.
Liu Yizhan: Continue to build a cross-strait youth cultural and creative platform
"In the coming year, Mai Ke will continue to build a cross-strait youth cultural and creative platform, attract more Taiwanese youth engaged in cultural creation to Shanghai, and rely on Mai Ke to achieve their own development." Liu Yizhan, executive director of the Mai Ke Cultural and Creative Park, said.
Liu Yizhan's Mai Ke Cultural and Creative Park was "transformed" from a traditional clothing factory. In just a few years, dozens of "skilled craftsmen" on both sides of the strait have gathered here, and many Taiwanese entrepreneurs regard it as the "first stop" to enter the mainland market.
In 2014, he came to Shanghai to develop, and this year is the first time Liu Yizhan stayed in the city for the Chinese New Year. Along with him, there are more than 30 Taiwan compatriots in the Wheat Park.
Liu Yizhan revealed that there are many plans for niu nian mai, and the "time travel" theme hotel under construction is the focus, which is scheduled to open in October, which will integrate cultural and creative, content, entity, interaction, community and other composite functions to create an urban cultural tourism complex with "living" as the core.
"I hope that this hotel will allow travelers to experience 'one city, one time, one place, one life, one life all the way' in the bustling city, and become Shanghai's new 'internet celebrity punch card'." Liu Yizhan said.
Shi Jiayi: Share the mainland's development opportunities with more Taiwanese and Qingdao
"Only the Spring Festival can make me feel that time stands still." On February 14, the third day of the Lunar New Year in the Year of the Ox, and also the Western Valentine's Day, Shi Jiayi left such feelings in the WeChat circle of friends.
As the "second generation of Taiwan businessmen", Shi Jiayi has lived in Shanghai for 23 years. Taking over her father's career as the general manager of Shanghai Genlai Food Co., Ltd., Shi Jiayi became an outstanding young entrepreneur and won the honor of "Shanghai Youth May Fourth Medal" in 2020.
In the past year, shi Jiayi has also served as the director of the Taiwan Youth Department of the Shanghai Association of Taiwan Compatriots Investment Enterprises. On the eve of the Chinese New Year, she and her companions planned a cross-strait welcome party, inviting Taiwanese youth who stayed in Shanghai for the New Year to meet with their relatives in Taiwan "in the clouds" to create surprises and leave warm memories for this special New Year under the epidemic.
Entering the Year of the Ox, Shi Jiayi made a wish: Genlai's functional food business is thriving, and it is necessary to follow the footsteps of the mainland's consumption energy level to achieve enterprise upgrading. The work of the Taiwan Youth Department is even more intense, providing more support for the "landing" of Taiwan Youth in Shanghai.
Shi Jiayi revealed that the Taiwan Youth Department has many New Year's plans. Form a Live Broadcast Group of Taiwan Youth through audition to help mainland Taiwan Youth entrepreneurial enterprises promote products; hold music events or performances to provide a display stage and communication channels for cultural entrepreneurs; create a Taiwanese version of "China on the tip of the tongue", and let mainland friends understand Taiwan more deeply with the help of food...
"We hope to gather more Taiwanese youth and share the mainland's development opportunities together." Shi Jiayi said.
