Zhou Derui and Wang Xu served as vice mayors of Tianjin

Tianjin, 15 Mar (China News Service) -- On 15 March, the 26th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 17th Tianjin Municipal People's Congress passed a decision to appoint Zhou Derui and Wang Xu as vice mayors of Tianjin.

According to the resume provided by the official, Zhou Derui, male, Han ethnicity, born in February 1966, Qidong, Hunan, joined the Communist Party of China in December 1991, joined the work in December 1989, graduate degree, master of law. After graduating from the Department of Social Sciences of Tsinghua University in December 1989 with a master's degree in the history of the Communist Party of China, he successively served as a cadre of the Financial Office of the Lingling District Administration of Hunan Province, a section member and deputy director of the Provincial Economic and Technical Cooperation Office, a deputy director and chief section member of the Economic Department of the General Office of the Provincial Government, a chief clerk and deputy division secretary of the Second Department of the Secretary of the General Office of the Provincial Government, and a director of the Office of the Provincial Land and Resources Department and the director of the Financial Division. Since April 2006, he has served as deputy inspector of the Department of Land and Resources of Hunan Province, member of the Standing Committee of the Yongzhou Municipal Party Committee, director of the Organization Department, and vice mayor. In May 2013, he was appointed deputy secretary and mayor of Changde Municipal Party Committee of Hunan Province. In September 2017, he was appointed Secretary of the Changde Municipal Party Committee of Hunan Province, and in December 2017, he was also appointed As the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Changde Municipal People's Congress. In March 2021, he was appointed vice mayor of Tianjin and a member of the party group of the Municipal People's Government. He is a deputy to the 13th National People's Congress.

Wang Xu, male, Manchu, born in June 1970, from Funing, Jiangsu Province, joined the Communist Party of China in June 1991, joined the work in July 1992, university degree, master of public administration. After graduating from the Department of Economics of Peking University in July 1992, he successively served as a cadre of the Institute of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, deputy director of the Market Development Department, third secretary, second secretary and first secretary of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office of the Chinese Embassy in Australia, deputy director of the second division of the Department of Oceania in the Americas of the Ministry of Commerce, first class commercial secretary (at the level of the main division), and director of the third division of the American Oceania Division. In February 2010, he was appointed Deputy Director General of the Department of Americas and Oceania of the Ministry of Commerce. In May 2016, he was appointed Director General of the Department of Americas and Oceania of the Ministry of Commerce. In March 2021, he was appointed vice mayor of Tianjin and a member of the party group of the Municipal People's Government. (End)
