Mount: I wouldn't be really happy until I won the title for Chelsea

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount talked about his upbringing, coach Tuchel, and related topics such as his goals and the friendship of Declan Rice in an interview.

Talk about growing up...

I'm doing pretty well at all ages, and if I'm playing in an age group, I always want to play for a year. At this stage of u23, I think it needs to be extra pushed.

So I went to Vitesse and I had a great season in the Netherlands, where I learned a lot about different types of football. Then I went to the Championship (Derby County) where I felt the toughness of the football game, which also helped me to improve my standards and finally returned to Chelsea.

Some say you're the coach's darling...

I never paid attention to what people said and Lampard helped me a lot by bringing me back from Derby County to Chelsea. Now, under the leadership of another head coach, it's a different way of learning. For me at 22, learning from these coaches who have a different view of football will only enrich me and make me better and better.

About Tuchel...

In my career, I haven't experienced a coaching change before, but it's not the same at Chelsea and now I know that feeling. You know what kind of person I am, I want to play every game. But with the new coach coming in, I didn't start against wolves and I knew he was thinking about it in terms of the experience of the team, we had a conversation and I understood his point of view, which helped me to move on and I also knew I had to keep working hard and show him what I was capable of. I'm the kind of player who wants to try to prove someone else wrong or show some quality they may not have seen before.

Tuchel's goal is clear, he tells us what to do when there is no ball, when there is possession, and tells us how to run, let us understand his tactics, we are constantly learning, learning more and more things.

Regarding the demands on yourself...

Mount: I wouldn't be really happy until I won the title for Chelsea

I'm definitely a guy who really pays attention to the game and analyzed my performance at the end of last season. I've found that in some games I don't have much of an impact on the team. It's something I want to do this season and I need to do better, and I talked about it in my conversations with my dad and I feel like I have room for improvement. I'm definitely not content with just playing well, I want to do more. I'm happy at the moment, but I'm not going to over-please unless I'm getting better and better and I know I can do it.

About the fight for the championship...

Of course, that's our team's goal and I don't feel like I'm really happy until I win the championship. We need to set our sights on winning the Premier League, the Champions League. I think with our team, we can do it. We have desire and motivation. Those senior players are very helpful to us and we want to achieve that goal.

About the relationship with Rice...

It's a crazy thing. We grew up together, we used to play and sleep in each other's homes since childhood, and now we have achieved some success and fought for our country. Competitions like the European Championship are just around the corner and hopefully we'll have the chance to participate. The journey we've had is crazy, and you can make it into a movie or write a book.
