How to be a qualified servant of the people
Always keep in mind your status as a public servant and treat the power in your hands correctly. Whether to use power for the public or to use power for personal gain is an important basis for judging the merits of "public servants." Power is given by the people and can only be used to serve the people; the use of power for personal gain, whether for individuals or for small groups, is corrupt and contrary to the fundamental purpose of the Party. Those who forget their status as public servants will eventually go their wrong way. Consciously resist the erosion of the decadent ideas of the exploiting class. "Wood rots first and then worms grow". Every servant of the people must strive to be a person with ideals, morality, culture, and discipline, and to be a person who is detached from low-level interests; he must have noble sentiments, be indifferent to his ambitions, and stay in public at night. Be cautious and strict, spotless, build a strong anti-embankment, beware of the nest of ants; we must remember to guard against microaggressions, and do not do it because of evil. Eating, drinking, and having fun makes people depressed, and wine-colored wealth makes people degenerate, which is the prelude to many people who have fallen into the water. "Those who want to be righteous look up to their faces, and those who want to be incorruptible are right." We must not only learn from the revolutionary spirit of the heroes and model figures and be strict with discipline, but also learn lessons from those who have lost their reputations and be vigilant against repeating the mistakes of the past. We must consciously accept the supervision of the party and the people. Supervision is a powerful objective condition for preventing corruption. Thinking that one's power can be unrestricted is a corrupt feudal privilege idea, and unsupervised power will inevitably lead to corruption, and good cadres may become bad without regular supervision constraints. Some people who have fallen into the evil path are, in the face of honor and power, their egos are viciously inflated, they are oblivious, they put aside the supervision of the masses and organizations, they are unscrupulous, they act recklessly, and they do not fail to lose their reputation. Therefore, every cadre should consciously place himself under the supervision of the party and the people, eliminate the idea of privilege, and correct the position of individuals and organizations, "public servants" and "masters", so that they can make fewer or no mistakes.
