Xiangsheng Examination 143: Zhang Peiru of the Xiangsheng Family "Jiaojiamen"
Zhang Peiru, born in 1910, is a native of Tianjin.
Zhang Peiru, whose stage name is "Little Pity", is one of the best artists in the Tianjin Weiqu art circle to sing Taiping lyrics in the last century, and is on a par with Yang Shaokui, both of whom are famous Taiping lyric artists. Zhang Peiru's Taiping lyrics master is Ji Pingsan, of course, Zhang Peiru's commentaries are also learned from Ji Pingsan, and the brothers of the same disciple are Qin Peixian, Yuan Peilou, Si Peiquan and so on. Yuan Peilou's cross-talk master is Zhang Shouchen, who also belongs to the "JiaoJiamen" disciple. Little poor Zhang Peiru has produced a record of Taiping lyrics in Kunlun Company, "Taigong Buys Noodles".
In 1962, the Nankai District Qu Art Troupe was established, with a cross-talk team under it, the captain was Zhang Peiru, and the actors were Yu Baolin, Wei Wenliang, Tian Lihe, Yang Shaohua, Ma Zhicun, Kou Gengru, Li Jiechen, Jiang Baolin, Hu Zhenjiang, Chen Yongzhong, Chen Yongqing, Meng Xiangguang, Wang Wenyu, Feng Yuchun, etc. Zhang Peiru also led the team members to perform in the Nankai Liuhe Market. This captain has been a captain for many years, and sometimes teaches his colleagues his skills. Tong Shouben later recalled: In 1963, when he was 18 years old, he was already a small student of the Nankai District Crosstalk Team; one night, Tong Shouben and Zhang Peiru, the captain of the Crosstalk Team, were on duty together, and Tong Shouben boldly asked about the art, and the old man said: "Do you want to learn?" Teach now, you take the pen, I sing, you remember. "This night, I learned two paragraphs.
Zhang Peiruo had a daughter named Zhang Wenxia, also known as Crosstalk, who worshiped under Wukui Haimen and later joined the Nankai District Crosstalk Team; later married Tian Lihe. After Zhang Wenxia joined the Nankai District Crosstalk Team, she cooperated with her father Zhang Peiru to speak crosstalk.
In 1968, Zhang Peiru died at the age of 58.
