This article is based on the Sao team's round-the-world travel documentary "I See the World", the ninth season of "Africa Survey Report: Malawi", edited by Zhang Min.
When the I See the World team came to Malawi, one of the poorest countries in Africa, we found that even in the poorest countries, there is a huge gap between rich and poor.
We stayed in this national palace-level hotel, a city where only the main road has street lights.
I also went to the high-end clothing store opened in Chinese, where the goods are all priced in US dollars, a pair of such common sandals in China, 60 US dollars.
We left the capital and went to the home of the local black man. There was no fence, the bricks that built the house burned themselves, and these bricks, pinched by hand, actually shattered!
There are a lot of children here, basically five, no more than 10, because there is no contraceptive method at all.
Very few children wear cloth shoes, some wear rubber shoes, and the children born run barefoot on the ground.
When we visited the local black family, we were impressed by the black aunt's dress, which was a bright color in the whole village.
