The popularization of this technology is expected to make BIPV a universal new building material, and the market potential is huge.

In the actual application process, bipv products must use energy-saving glass (cadmium telluride, copper indium gallium selenium), but there are not many companies in the world that really master this technology. Among them, Jinjing Technology, as a leading enterprise of ultra-white glass in China, has a technical reserve of up to 10 years in this field, and has planned for bipv photovoltaic roof and curtain wall plans. In December 2020, Jinjing Technology announced that the Zibo headquarters 550t/d energy-saving glass production line was successfully ignited, and its main products were high-quality float glass and energy-saving glass (cadmium telluride, copper indium gallium selenium), which were mainly used in building energy saving, photovoltaics, automobiles, etc.

Jinjing Technology said that in the future, the production line that can upgrade the reserve according to the needs, whether from the past technical reserve or from the future production capacity release, Jinjing is among the best.

It is reported that Jinjing Technology has continuously increased its layout in the field of photovoltaic and energy saving in recent years. In 2018, the company built a solar glass production line in Malaysia, officially cut into the photovoltaic industry chain, and invested in the construction of 2 float panel and backplane glass production lines (both 500t/d) are expected to be put into operation this year. Last year, the company built a 600t/d one-kiln three-line photovoltaic lightweight panel production line in Ningxia, which is expected to be put into operation in June. On February 10, the company disclosed that the non-public offering plan plans to raise an additional capital of 1.4 billion yuan to continue to increase the photovoltaic glass production line in Ningxia and Malaysia.

It is worth noting that in February this year, Jinjing Technology announced that it signed a long-term single agreement with LONGi for photovoltaic glass totaling about 1.6 billion yuan (excluding tax), locking in ningxia Jinjing's production capacity sales in the next year and a half in advance. As LONGi increases its investment in BIPV, as a first-class supplier of energy-saving glass (cadmium telluride, copper indium gallium selenium) in China, Jinjing Technology is expected to reap the huge dividends of the BIPV market.
