Germany vs England, it's a thriller

Manuel Neuer said Germany was revisiting England at Wembley Stadium in the last 16 matches of Euro 2020, 25 years after the game broke the Hearts of The British.

Germany faced a Group F disposition on Wednesday until second-half substitution Leon Goretzka ended in an important late equaliser to draw 2-2 with Hungary, putting Joachim Loew's side into the round of 16.

Germany will now face Gareth Southgate's England side in London next Tuesday for a place in the quarter-finals.

"It's just a spine cooler, extreme tension," German goalkeeper Neuer said quietly.

"England will be a completely unique game. We need to go further. And, Wembley is a good fit for us," he added with a laugh.

Britain will want to prove their right outcome of their euro 96 semi-final loss to Germany at Wembley, when the hosts lost in penalties and the Germans beat the Czech Republic in the final match.

Hungary chief Adam Szalai took the lead in Munich. Kay Havertz scored with a German equaliser header in the second half, but the visiting team scored again two minutes later via Andras Schaefer.

When bayern Munich midfielder fell from his seat and crushed slightly in the equaliser, Goretska saved germany.

"I was hooked, we don't have any problems now and can start business," Goretzka said.

German mentor Loew admitted his side made a lot of mistakes but promised "we'll do better against England, I can guarantee that".
