After the cruise ship was stranded on the Yangtze River for 51 hours due to the epidemic, tourists were allowed to disembark in Yichang

Affected by the epidemic prevention and control, a cruise ship carrying 370 passengers was allowed to dock at the port of Yichang after staying on the Yangtze River for 51 hours. Previously, the cruise ship was refused to land at jingzhou, Yueyang, Maoping and other ports along the Yangtze River. 600 people, including more than 200 crew members, were unable to disembark. At 18:00 on the afternoon of August 5, the cruise ship successfully docked after coordinating with the Yichang Health Commission and the Yichang Port Authority.

On July 30, a cruise ship carrying 370 tourists and more than 200 crew members departed from Chongqing's Chaotianmen No. 5 Cruise Ship Terminal, bound to pass through Fengdu, Zhongxian, the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, Fengjie, Shennu Creek, Three Gorges Dam, Yichang, Jingzhou, Yueyang, and arrive at the Wuhan Port Terminal on August 5.

On the morning of August 4, after the cruise ship arrived at a pier in Jingmen Waters, Hubei Province, according to the scheduled itinerary, tourists were banned from disembarkation due to the control of the epidemic. Three hours later, the cruise ship arrived at the port of Yueyang in Hunan Province, and under the arrangement of the cruise ship and the travel agency, the local medical staff boarded the ship and conducted nucleic acid testing on all the tourists and crew members, and completed all the tests at about 12 noon on the same day.

Unable to dock, the cruise ship decided to return to Yichang. On the morning of August 5, nucleic acid test results showed that all the tourists and crew members on board were negative. At this time, the cruise ship has reached the waters near Yichang and is ready to dock.

Tourists on board told Red Star News that when the cruise ship was ready to dock, yichang port staff refused to dock the ship on the grounds of epidemic prevention and control. Subsequently, the ship's staff announced on the whole ship that the cruise ship would dock at the three gorges dam port near the Three Gorges Scenic Area. Hours later, staff again broadcast that the Three Gorges Dam port refused to dock. After that, the cruise ship contacted Maoping Port, and was also refused to dock.

At about 15:00 on August 5, the Red Star News reporter contacted the staff on the cruise ship, who said that the cruise ship was in Yichang waters, and was ready to sail to Chongqing after being refused to dock at multiple ports, and was expected to arrive in Chongqing on August 9. According to the staff, there are sufficient materials on the cruise ship to meet the needs of all passengers.

Some tourists said that since most of the passengers' destination is not Chongqing, they hope to dock at Yichang Port and change their own means of transport to return home. Ms. Gao, a tourist, said she was worried that the cruise ship would not be able to land in Chongqing after being rejected by multiple ports. At the same time, in order to reduce the possibility of external exposure and infection, it is hoped that we will return home after going ashore as soon as possible.

Subsequently, the cruise ship contacted the Yichang Health Commission, and the Yichang Health Commission replied that all the passengers on board had a negative nucleic acid test, normal body temperature, and met the docking standards. The cruise ship side contacted the Yichang Port Authority again, hoping that the Port Authority could agree to the landing of the cruise ship.

At about 17:00 on August 5, the local port authority agreed to dock at the port of Yichang. Since the cruise ship had previously passed through Jingmen City, Hubei Province, where there was a medium risk area, after the cruise ship issued a permit, some passengers who needed to dock in Yichang were able to land smoothly, and tourists who needed to return to Chongqing would continue to take the cruise ship along the river.

According to ms. Gao, a tourist, she and her mother are from Heilongjiang and have successfully landed after the cruise ship issued a permit. The two plan to fly from Yichang to Chongqing and then transfer from Chongqing to heilongjiang.

According to the staff on board, the specific time of the cruise ship's arrival in Chongqing is still uncertain.

Mr. Lu, the person in charge of Guangdong Pinnacle Shu Travel Company, who rented the cruise ship, said that they understood that due to the epidemic prevention and control, the ports refused to dock cruise ships and tourists landed. It said that the losses suffered by tourists due to travel interruptions will be handled and compensated in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
