In the last issue, we introduced thirty-three of the regions that are in the world of independence today: Wa State (Myanmar), and today we turn our attention from Southeast Asia to the Gulf Coast region of North America on the other side of the Pacific Ocean, and talk about thirty-four regions that are making independence in the world today: Texas (Usa).

Texas
Before we introduced many areas in the world that are in the midst of independence, of which there are more developing countries, and although there are some developed countries, there are often fewer bloody conflicts, and today we will look at the world's number one power - the United States, which also has areas that want to make independence. The United States, short for United States of America, is a federal republican constitutional state consisting of washington, D.C., 50 states, guam, and many overseas territories, with an area of 9.37 million square kilometers and a population of 323 million (2016 data).

Texas, referred to as Texas (but not Shandong Texas, which is not China's grilled chicken), covers an area of 69.6 square kilometers, slightly smaller than the area of Qinghai Province in China, is the largest state in the south of the United States, and is also the second largest state in the United States, second only to Alaska, with a population of 20.85 million people, and the government is located in Austin. Texas is also known as the "Lone Star State", Texas wants to be independent is not a joke, in Texas can not see the American flag is not surprising, but the Lone Star flag is always flying.
Map of the political districts of the United States
Historically, Texas was originally part of Mexico, part of Spain's New Spanish colony, and Texas became part of it after Mexico's independence in 1821. Texas became independent after the abolition of slavery in Mexico in 1836, established the Republic of Texas, with only one star on the flag (this is the origin of the "Lone Star"), and as soon as texas became independent, it sent people to Washington to apply to join the United States Union.

At that time, the north and south of the United States were concentrating on "wrenching" each other's wrists in Congress to see which side of the political force could overwhelm the other. For the North, if Texas joins the United States, the new large slave state will greatly strengthen the power of the South, and the balance of political power will fall to the South. So the North resolutely resisted the accession of Texas, and the Texans waited for nine years until 1845, when they were admitted as a state of the United States.
Houston
Texas was the only independent nation to join the United States. When the American Civil War broke out in 1861, Texas seceded from the United States along with the Southern states, and was annexed by the United States after the defeat in the war in 1865. The Texas independence movement has been raging for many years, and independents believe that Texas was forcibly annexed by the United States after the defeat of the Civil War in 1865, but they do not recognize it.

Texas established its own "Republic of Texas" in December 1995, enacting its own Constitution, which makes anyone who has resided in Texas for six months a citizen a citizen of the Republic of Texas and calls for a referendum on July 4 of each year to demand independence from the United States. However, no country has yet recognized them.
