"Fukushima 50 Dead" focuses on the nuclear leakage accident of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant that shocked the world, and Watanabe Ken plays the nuclear power plant director Masaro Yoshida. The film is adapted from Takashi Motoda's documentary novel "The Truth About the Fukushima Nuclear Accident", in which the author interviews nearly 100 relevant personnel such as Masaro Yoshida, the commander-in-chief of the disaster relief at the scene, front-line workers, former Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan, local residents, business personnel, and scientists after the Fukushima nuclear accident, to expose the untold story of the nuclear accident.

The film is directed by Saehiro Wakamatsu and is expected to meet the audience in 2020.
