Starting from October, the Municipal Cultural Relics Department will organize an exploration team to conduct a second archaeological exploration of the Bairen City site in Longyao County to provide a basis for later protection and utilization.
In order to strengthen the research and protection and utilization of the Bairen City site, on March 20, 2015, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage approved the preparation of the Boren City Site Protection Plan, and in November 2015, the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau hired archaeologists from the Xi'an Cultural Relics College to conduct the first archaeological exploration of the BairenCheng site, and initially found out the scale, roads, and building distribution of the Bairencheng site. This year, another 1.15 million yuan was invested to hire Hebei Dehe Cultural Relics Design Company to prepare a protection plan for the Bairen City site. In this exploration, Dr. Zhou Haifeng of the Municipal Cultural Relics Department will conduct another archaeological exploration of the Site of Boren City to grasp more detailed information on the Site of Bairen City.
