Around May of each year, crayfish farming enters the peak period of incidence and is difficult to control, especially leukoplakia syndrome, which is wide-ranging, deep and contagious. The disease is mainly endemic in Hubei, Jiangsu, Anhui and other main breeding areas, resulting in a large number of crayfish deaths, the mortality rate of up to 90%, will cause huge economic losses to farmers.
The pathogen of leukoplakia syndrome is leukoplakia syndrome virus (wssv), the clinical symptoms of diseased crayfish are mainly manifested as: first of all, from the middle and prawns to start the disease, the diseased shrimp show slow action, no other symptoms in appearance, the course of the disease develops very quickly, and a large number of deaths occur within a few days; anatomy of the diseased shrimp can see liver and pancreas swelling, dark color, and even necrosis; empty stomach, intestine congestion, color segmentation phenomenon.
The initial feeding of shrimp disease decreases until feeding is stopped, and then the diseased shrimp swims on the surface of the water, and there are no white spots on the surface of the shrimp shell and no other symptoms, and the limbs are weak. Fluid accumulates in the body, and the cephalothoracic nails are easily peeled off. The body color is dark red, and some shrimp cheeks turn black.
