Aunt Li said that over the years, she has participated in many publicity meetings and exhibitions of intangible cultural heritage, hoping to let more people know about handmade machine embroidery and get beauty from embroidery, but she found that few young people pay attention to machine embroidery. In order to inherit the inheritance of future generations, Aunt Li pulled her son Lin Tao, who studied art and design, to the sewing machine, let Lin Tao teach herself to look for machine embroidery patterns on the Internet, and also let her son hand-draw the drawings as a sample. Mother and son have tried in oil painting, Chinese painting, watercolor, thangka, calligraphy, decorative painting and other subjects, and "modified" the original machine embroidery pattern, which is more in line with the aesthetics of young people.
Aunt Li also improved the traditional sewing machine embroidery in the straight needle, round needle, cloud needle, walking needle and other stitching methods, so that the stitching method is more delicate, the application of the subject matter is more extensive, coupled with the lustrous texture of the embroidery thread itself, the pattern embroidered by the machine is fuller and more textured than the traditional painting pigment.
