The Hawks officially announced today that DeAndre Hunter has completed meniscus repair surgery on his right knee and is expected to make a full recovery before the start of training camp for the new season.

Hunter, 23, has performed well in the regular season this season, averaging 15 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game and shooting 48.4 percent from the field. But missed 24 games with a right knee injury.

Hunter played in the first round of five games, averaging 10.8 points and four rebounds per game, but failed to play in the division semifinals series with the 76ers due to swollen right knee. Subsequently, after a detailed examination, the Eagle confirmed that Hunter had torn the meniscus on the lateral side of his right knee and would undergo surgery and be reimbursed early for the season.
