Official: Former Chinese women's football assistant coach Pia officially became the Brazilian women's football coach

On July 26, local time, the Brazilian Football Association officially announced that the 59-year-old Swedish coach Pia will be the head coach of the Brazilian women's national football team. According to the official website of the Brazilian Football Association, Pia's contract is two years and will lead the Brazilian women's football team to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

It is worth mentioning that Pia's appointment also rewrote the history of Brazilian football, and she became the first foreign coach in the century-old history of the Brazilian adult national team (including men's and women's football).

In 2007, Pia was an assistant coach of the Chinese women's football team, assisting Domansky. Pia led the U.S. women's team to two Olympic games in 2008 and 2012, and was runner-up in the 2011 World Cup, and she also led the Swedish women's team to the 2016 Olympic Games.
