In the Putuoshan Museum, there are still dozens of tea sets from the Ming and Qing dynasties, and ten of them are introduced here for the benefit of readers.

Rhinoceros horn relief reishi tiger pattern cup

This early Ming Dynasty rhino horn cup, full name "rhinoceros horn relief Lingzhi tiger pattern cup", is carved from rhino horn. According to literature, the rhinoceros horn cup can be used to hold wine and drink tea.

Precious rhino horn, from the root to the tip, cross-sectional view, there is a white dot in the center, connected into a line, called "point spirit rhinoceros", is the most precious part of the rhino horn, so Tang Li Shangyin has a "heart has a spirit rhinoceros point" verse. The Ming and Qing dynasties rhino horn is mainly imported from Thailand, India, Nepal and other countries, small one or two pounds, large more than a dozen pounds, folk legend with rhino horn cup wine and tea, can prolong life, vigorous energy, diseases do not invade, so imported rhino horn is mainly used to carve rhino horn cup.

The rhino horn cup in the Putuoshan Museum is 8.85 cm high, 15 cm wide and 10.6 cm in length, 5.6 cm in diameter and 4.2 cm in length and weighs 0.342 kg at the bottom. Carved from whole rhino horns. The mouth is oval, the inner abdomen is divided into 3 layers, the outer abdomen is embossed with jade tiger and Ganoderma lucidum pattern, the shape of the tiger is vivid and vivid, the Lingzhi hollow base; the rear part of the cup is made of a bamboo knot shape and the Ganoderma lucidum stem shaped handle, the shape is regular, the carving is exquisite and simple, the luster is lustrous, the Ganoderma lucidum is covered in layers, the mantis pattern is sharp and smooth, it is a treasure in the rhino horn cup in the early Ming Dynasty, when the Putuoshan Monastery was used to serve tea for the Buddha, treasured so far, in 1962 it was included in the Putuoshan Cultural Relics Museum, and in May 2010 it was identified as a national first-class cultural relic. It is worth more than 30 million yuan.

Echo ground auspicious bird dragon pattern double ring ear copper pot

This Ming Dynasty "echo-patterned bird dragon pattern double ring ear copper pot", 31 cm high, 17 cm caliber, weighs 4.25 kg. Open mouth, pointed lips, long neck, slippery shoulders, drum belly, two earrings at the junction of the shoulders, the upper part of the ear is decorated with animal face patterns, the shoulders are engraved with a circle of echo dragon patterns, the abdomen is engraved with a circle of echoes, and the lower part of the abdomen is decorated with eight charred leaf patterns, and its inner engraving is deformed into animal face patterns. The bottom of this pot has no circle feet, and it is obviously used as a vessel for cooking tea and holding water.

Hetian jade lotus pattern goblet

The tea set inherited from the Putuoshan Monastery in the Ming Dynasty also has a "Hetian Jade Lotus Pattern Goblet". The cup is 6.9 cm high, 5.9 cm in diameter, 3.5 cm in diameter at the bottom and weighs 0.072 kg. The cup is made of a whole piece of blue-white Hetian jade carving, the mouth is slightly skimmed, the straight wall is rounded, and the feet are high; the whole is trumpet-shaped, and a circle of diagonal triangles is engraved along the inner side of the mouth, and the outer abdomen is engraved with a lotus pattern of the cluster, and the bottom has the "Fushou Yongchang" 4-character seal book.

Jade cup

This Ming Dynasty jade cup was originally a kind of wine cup, but the temple did not drink alcohol, so it was used to hold tea for the Buddha, with a height of 9.5 centimeters and a weight of 0.091 kilograms. Corset waist, high circle of the sole of the concave, the side of the abdomen has a dragon-shaped handle, the upper part of the abdomen is decorated with a full circle of spiral patterns, and the lower part is decorated with a lotus petal pattern. It is carved from a whole piece of white jade, which is very delicate and noble.

Purple sand lotus teapot

This Qing Dynasty "Purple Sand Lotus Peng Teapot" preserved in the PutuoShan Museum is gray and green in color, the height of the pot is 14 cm, the diameter is 6.5 cm, the length is 6 cm, and the weight is 0.508 kg. The shape is lotus-shaped, with a flat top of the lid and a bird-shaped button; one side of the pot is a lotus-shaped, decorated with active lotus seeds, and the other side is a lotus peduncle, and a three-banded lotus root and water chestnut are placed at the bottom of the pot, and the symmetrical lotus leaves are flat with the rhizome. It is a representative work of exquisite shape of purple sand in the Qing Dynasty.

Purple sand dragon head teapot

The Putuoshan Museum also has a Qing Dynasty "purple sand dragon head teapot". It is dark red, 11 cm high, 7.8 cm in diameter, 6 cm in diameter at the bottom, and weighs 0.439 kg. The teapot is round, the pot and the lid are buckled together, the lid surface is raised, the double cloud lid button, the button is decorated with a movable dragon head; the pot body is round belly, slightly concave, the short stream and the half ring dragon tail are flat, symmetrical before and after, from the concave bottom to the pot wall full of sea wave patterns, the upper end of the pot wall is decorated with dragon heads and silver carp patterns, and the lid has a square seal: "Tang Shulin Seal", which is a fine product in the purple sand tea set.

Paste lion copper teapot

The collection number is 0162 "Qing Dynasty Lion Copper Teapot", textured copper, height 18 cm, caliber 5.7 cm, bottom diameter 11.8 cm, weight 0.687 kg. The body of the pot is bronze bell-shaped, with a mouth, a deep abdomen, a flat bottom, a curved flow; a lid on the mouth, an ear-shaped handle; 6 circular convex patterns at the upper end of the abdomen, which are carved with pine trees, bird patterns, etc., and the front and back of the abdominal wall are symmetrically pasted with silver lion dance hydrangea patterns. The overall beauty, fine shape, in May 2010 identified as a national third-class cultural relics.

Blue lotus cup

The collection number is 0639 "Qing Dynasty Blue Flower Lotus Rong Cup". The texture is clear flower porcelain, the cup height is 6.8 cm, the diameter is 10 cm, the bottom diameter is 4.8 cm, and the weight is 0.147 kg. The cup is wide-mouthed, deep abdomen, circle foot concave, mouth along the interior of a circle of bat clouds, decorated with a circle of diamond-shaped lattice; the abdominal wall is engraved with chrysanthemums, the inner insole is decorated with a single line, double-line blue and white, and painted a heron lotus ornament, the outer bottom is decorated with a circle of banana leaf pattern, and the bottom book "Great Qing Kangxi Year" 6-character blue and white model.

Tin beast button small kettle

The collection number is 0583 "Qing Tin Beast Button Kettle". The texture is tin, 16.8 cm high, 3.1 cm caliber, 5.7 cm bottom diameter, and 0.307 kg weight, resembling a wine jug, but the temple uses it to pour tea. The lid of the pot is small plate, slender neck, slippery shoulders, drum belly, flat bottom; the top of the lid has a beast button, curved ears, the flow and neck are connected by a dragon-shaped beam, and the lower part of the stream is in the shape of an animal's head; the body of the instrument is carved with five dazzlings, and the bottom has a model of "Chaoyang to Shantou, Tongshun Old Shop King Point Copper".

Blue and white double dragon play beaded teacup

The collection number is 0644 "Qingqinghua Double Dragon Play Beaded Teacup", texture porcelain, color blue and white. Height 6.5 cm, caliber 10.7 cm, base diameter 4 cm, weight 0.120 kg. Cup open, deep abdomen, small circle foot, flat bottom, painted inside the cup a fire dragon and a circle of blue and white single line, single line white glaze, abdomen outside the blue and white double dragon play bead pattern, the bottom has "Great Qing Kangxi Year System" two rows of vertical reading blue and white models.

Putuo Mountain also has a number of teapots and teacups from the Republic of China period, which are not introduced here.

Since the past dynasties, the tea sets used in Putuoshan Monastery are diverse in form and exquisite in texture, with gold, silver, copper, jade, jade, rhino horn and other good products, but the mountain has been abandoned several times in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and after the "Cultural Revolution" and the sweep of the "four olds" and other catastrophes, the remaining tea sets before the Ming Dynasty have been rare, but a large number of Yong tea poems and dozens of existing Tea sets from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, as well as a large number of various types of teapots, tea cups and tea cooking utensils in the Republic of China period, provide precious physical evidence for us to study the tea affairs and tea culture on the mountains in the past.
