On September 29, four bottlenose dolphins imported from Japan from the Kaifeng Tokyo Polar Oceanarium crossed the ocean, parachuted into Xinzheng Airport, and settled in the beautiful ancient city of Kaifeng, which is the first time that dolphins have entered the country directly from the port in the province.
The lifespan of the dolphins is 25-35 years old, and the four dolphins that entered the country this time are 2 females and 2 males, and they are all juvenile dolphins about 4 years old.
According to Zhang Hongqiang, director of the Zhengzhou Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the import of Japanese dolphins is the first single entry animal quarantine approval business accepted by the inspection and quarantine window of the Comprehensive Service Center of Kaifeng Free Trade Area.
After the plane docked in the designated area on the day of entry, the quarantine personnel of the airport office immediately boarded the plane for quarantine, and the four dolphins were immediately loaded into the truck that had been waiting for a long time after all the quarantine qualified unloading, so that it was seamlessly docked. Escorted by the relevant staff of the Zhengzhou Bureau, the first time according to the designated route arrived safely at the isolation site, the implementation of a 30-day quarantine. It took less than 5 hours from the time the plane landed to arrive at the isolation site, which bought valuable time for the dolphins to quickly recover their strength. After entering the isolation pool that night, the dolphins returned to normal swimming posture in less than 5 minutes, churning and jumping, which was very cute.
Also known as bottlenose dolphins, it is mainly distributed in the major oceans of temperate and tropical zones, and like all dolphins, bottlenose dolphins have a streamlined body like a fish. The skin is smooth and hairless, the back of the body is blue steel and tile gray, and there are obvious bulges in the abdomen. Bottlenose dolphins are more comprehensible, likable, and curious, and can perform some stunts after artificial training, jumping fire rings and group jumps. Because of its long kiss, short mouth, and split mouth, it seems to always be smiling, known as the "Smiling Angel", it is a national second-class protected animal, and it is a popular "star" in performance programs such as Aquarium and Sea World, and they are often seen in television and movies. The four dolphins introduced this time are scientifically called bottlenose dolphins, which come from the Pacific Ocean, with a body length of about 2.3 meters to 2.6 meters, and an age of about four years old.
