The Confucius Institute of the University of Nankai-Glasgow held the "Confucius Institute Forum" activity for the 10th anniversary of its establishment

This series of activities focused on academics and current affairs, and James Brewer, director of the Department of Immunobiology at the University of Glasgow, shared the overview and latest progress of their respective research fields as keynote speakers, and built a platform for further academic exchanges and cooperation between experts and scholars of the two universities.

The Confucius Institute at the University of Glasgow was co-founded by Nankai University and the University of Glasgow in 2011, and in the past ten years, the two sides have made positive contributions to the people-to-people exchanges between China and the UK with the cultivation of Chinese talents and the promotion of cultural exchanges as the core, and in 2016, they were rated as "Advanced Confucius Institutes". Starting from the joint construction of Confucius Institutes, Nankai University and the University of Glasgow have carried out all-round cooperation, established joint graduate schools, carried out joint training of undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees, and promoted exchanges and joint scientific research projects between teachers.

It is reported that the "Confucius Institute Forum" is one of the series of activities for the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Confucius Institute at the University of Nankai-Glasgow, after which a series of forums on "Climate Change and Green Development", the release of 10th anniversary souvenirs, And lectures on Chinese culture will be held.

More than 240 teachers and students from our School of Medicine, School of History, School of Economics, University of Glasgow Business School and Our Overseas Confucius Institute attended the event.
