Around the National Day in 1993, as the secretary of the party committee of the brigade (the former first geological survey team of the Henan Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources), I accompanied Zhao Erguan, secretary of the party committee, to all the field detachments and conducted simple random interviews. Everywhere we went, we were deeply impressed by the entrepreneurial spirit of the "three glories" (proud of hard work, proud of their contribution to prospecting, and proud of their dedication to geological undertakings) of our geological team members. Here, with my own rough and pale brushstrokes, I would like to record a little bit of observation and speculation, dedicated to those geological team members who have been fighting in the lofty mountains and mountains for many years and quietly searching for treasures for mankind.
On the morning of September 22, the jeep was like a neurotic beetle, bouncing and crawling into the Xiaogongyu mining area in Song County. In this thousand-meter-long mountain fold, there are 56 craters. Due to the influx of miners, dozens of individual food stalls have attracted at the foot of the mountain, and buns, steamed buns, noodles, meat dishes, all piled up in the smoke of mineral dust. Between the rugged bends on the mountainside, the bouncing trailer pulling the ore cannot move, the black-faced and white-toothed back miners are chaotic like cattle hair, and there are a large group of local women who pick (or steal) ore, one by one, their eyes are like bells, where the mine is out, they are like flies stinging blood. You yell, "Roll! They grinned and gritted their teeth, picked up the woven bag and left, but as soon as you turned around, they twisted back again. In short, the once secluded and remote valley here is now a paradise for gold diggers.
It was such an exciting environment that some of the geologists of the second and sixth divisions of our team lived here. Wang Xinjian, Tian Fuzhong, Wu Qiming, and others lived in shacks with upper dripping water and lower tide during the day, supporting an iron pot with stones and carrying water on the lower river beach to cook; at night, they went up the mountain to guard the mine cave, often rubbing with ore thieves, and even fighting. Gong Qihou, the leader of the second detachment, and Jiang Boheng, secretary of the sixth detachment branch, are all people who are close to the age of flower armor, but every day they still get up early and greedy like the workers, and run non-stop. In a small dilapidated courtyard a few acres below the mountain, there are 15 plates of ore mills, rumbling and turning day and night. The two plates on the team grind six tons of ore every day, but as long as the rotation does not stop, our staff is full of energy, why? Wang Keqin, secretary of the second detachment, replied: "It is often a class of 24 hours, and everyone is not afraid of suffering, because there is hope in the mine." If the mill doesn't turn, it means that the mine has not been dug, and it's not all over! ”
When they were about to break up, looking at the hot labor scenes of the geological team members, Zhao Erguan, secretary of the party committee of the brigade, sighed deeply: "It is difficult for the geological team, it is not easy to earn two money!" Captain Gong Qihou then said, "Yes, it is difficult to find ore, it is difficult to mine, and it is even more difficult to protect the mine." The high grade of the minerals our team is looking for, which is both a good thing and a bad thing: on the one hand, it has worked hard to become famous and has a lot of prestige in the local area; on the other hand, it has become Tang monk meat, and the local government, mine management, judiciary, including large and small management agencies and departments, all want to catch and bite twice. So let's open a hole like a tiger's mouth, a lot of people are staring at you, if you want to dig out the treasure inside and put it in our pocket, it's like a tiger's mouth pulling teeth...
Tooth extraction? yes! Isn't digging for gold like pulling teeth out of a tiger's mouth?
