Guided by Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism and hosted by Chengdu Art Museum, the biennale is themed "Super Integration – Chengdu Biennale 2021", and is scheduled to be held in the recently completely completely completed new museum of Chengdu Art Museum in Tianfu Art Park, Jinniu District.

The chief curator is Fan Di'an, chairman of the China Artists Association and president of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and the exhibition consists of 8 sections and 1 international art museum directors' forum, which will have more than 200 works by artists at home and abroad. "During the five-month exhibition, we expect to attract more than 1 million visitors." Lu Peng said.

Famous British artists Anish Kapoor, Olafell Eliasson and famous sculptor Tony Klagg, as well as Korean artists Xu Daoyu, Cuban artist Euan Capote and Belgian artist Carsten Holler.
