From the current positioning point of view, Zhangjiang has the advantage of Science City and Hongqiao has the advantage of transportation, which is itself the pyramid tip of the 9 sub-centers of Shanghai.
Therefore, Zhangjiang and Hongqiao surpassed the sub-center of Shanghai's main city and repositioned themselves as key nodes on the east-west axis
As can be seen from the above map, the positioning of Zhangjiang and Hongqiao is not the same as other sub-centers, and they have the role of "Shanghai axis" nodes.
The other 7 sub-centers of Shanghai's main city are Baoshan-Wusong, Jiangwan-Wujiaochang, Jinqiao, Huamu-Longyang Road, Chuansha, Xinzhuang, and Zhenru. These 7 sub-centers are distributed on the outskirts of the core area, and their status is lower than that of Zhangjiang and Hongqiao.
Zhangjiang was originally positioned as a science city, but in the 13th Five-Year Plan of Pudong New Area, Zhangjiang's status has been enhanced by "epoch-making".
The Dazhangjiang area extends to the south, and has extended the territory to the east of Zhoupu Town in Pudong New Area, which is also an important industrial belt through which Shanghai Rail Transit Line 16 passes, and the increase in regional area makes the area of Zhangjiang far exceed other sub-centers in Shanghai, and the energy level is naturally much higher.
Hongqiao is another situation, relying on the Hongqiao transportation hub and the National Convention and Exhibition Center, it is responsible for the window of Shanghai facing the Yangtze River Delta region and facing the whole country. The traffic advantages of high-speed rail stations and airports make it transcendent in terms of transportation, so the status of Hongqiao sub-center obviously exceeds that of other sub-centers in Shanghai.
In the future positioning of Shanghai, Zhangjiang and Hongqiao, located on the east and west sides, have surpassed the sub-center of Shanghai's main city, and they are also key nodes at the level of "main center" in Shanghai.
