Jinsixia is located in Shangnan County, Shangluo City, about 230 kilometers from Xi'an. In the hinterland of Xinkailing in the south of Shangnan, the mountain is steep, the river valley is deep, the forest is dense, the vegetation coverage rate is high, the natural environment is beautiful, and the Golden Silk Grand Canyon is in it. The landscape characteristics of Jinsi Gorge are mainly: the valley is narrow, the walls are extremely dangerous, the waterfalls are fantastic, and the original depth is deep. There are many places in the canyon that are off the beaten track and the pristine ecology is well preserved. The climate type of Jinsixia belongs to the northern subtropics, and the overall characteristics are: sufficient rainfall, sufficient sunshine, no severe cold in winter, no heat in summer, fresh air, and warm climate.
There are two factors in the name of the Golden Silk Gorge: First, in the past, there were often golden snub-nosed monkeys in the canyon; Second, the gorge is narrow and long, the valley floor is full of bottomless stone troughs and stone crevices, and the stream is shining through the sun, like a golden thread, so it is called "Golden Silk Gorge". The main attractions of Jinsixia are three gorges (White Dragon Gorge, Qinglong Gorge, Black Dragon Gorge) and Yizhai (Shiyan Village). There are three main characteristics: First, the terrain transitions from high mountains to hills, and the water and light and mountains include both the majesty of the north and the beauty of the southern country; Second, the original ecological protection is good, the animal and plant communities are rich and colorful, and there are hundreds of species of animals and plants protected by the state; Third, the customs and customs of the land are both pure and skillful of the Qin state and chu customs, and have the characteristics of the transition from the Central Plains culture to the Bashu culture.
The gorge in front of us is called Bailong Gorge, with a total length of 3.5 kilometers, the canyon is undulating, the water surrounds the mountain ring, and the waves of stratus clouds are spread, like a running white dragon.
Then came the Horse Planing Spring. Legend has it that during the Qin and Han dynasties, the peasant rebels Wang Hong and Meng Xi passed through here, and the people were sleepy and tired, hungry and thirsty. At the moment of crisis, the war horse cut out a spring of water and rescued the army, so it was named "Horse Planing Spring". The spring water flows down into a pond, named "drinking horse pond", and there are several concave places on the stone on the edge of the pool, resembling the hoof prints under the horseshoe, so it is called a horseshoe stone. The flow rate of The Spring is about 0.13 cubic meters per second or more. After the rainstorm, under the influence of pressure, the spring is in a jet-like state, gushing out more than 1 meter high. The spring water contains zinc, selenium and other trace elements, known locally as "shenquan", you may wish to taste it.
We looked back and saw that in the center of the stone cliff on the opposite bank hung a stubborn stone shaped like a golden melon, and there were many ladies around it, forming a picture of "ladies offering melons". This golden melon does not want to fall, and the sky is not empty, which is a miracle.
The dragon gate has arrived. This is the narrowest part of the White Dragon Gorge, about a meter long and only about 2 meters wide, so it is called "Heavenly Ladder". Everyone walked up the boardwalk, and the willows were dark and bright, and another village was bright, and in front of them, they reached the Lingguan Hall. Lingguan is the patron saint of Taoism, and we borrow his blessed land for a little rest. This open land covers an area of about 15 acres, with 70 or 80 bamboo and wood mountain houses, 20 "farmhouse" stalls, gathering local snacks, please taste.
In front of it is Qinglong Gorge, which is 4 kilometers long. On both sides of the canyon, evergreen trees such as sea trees, stick trees, and hemlocks grow, which originally looked like a green dragon meandering and swimming. Compared with Bailong Gorge, Qinglong Gorge has more quiet and dangerous interest.
ShiyanZhai is the central hub of Jinsi Gorge, with majestic terrain, and is also a good place to enjoy the sea of clouds and view the peaks. Here the clouds steam all year round

"Lan Tianmen" is the first pass up the mountain, where the momentum is majestic, and the upper and lower passages are locked. Looking at these three golden silk trees, each growing three trunks, facing three canyons, people call it "boundary marker indicating trees." The stone steps are finished, and above it is the site of Shiyan Village. The area is about a dozen acres. There is a "Zhenwu Ancestor Temple", Zhenwu is a Taoist town to guard the north of the human gods, obviously a Taoist jungle, willing to ask immortals to visit the Taoist, you can go inside to see.
After walking through a boardwalk, you will enter the Black Dragon Gorge. The Black Dragon Gorge gets its name from the Source of the Black Dragon Spring and the Black Dragon Waterfall. Here the canyon is deep, the cliffs are high, the sun is seen until noon, and other times the light is dim, and there are often snakes. Heilong Gorge is the most exquisite place in the scenery of Jinsi Gorge. Some people say that the beauty of Jinsi Gorge is ten points, and the Black Dragon Gorge is exclusively six points. Therefore, not entering the Black Dragon Gorge is equivalent to not swimming in the Golden Silk Gorge. The Heilong Gorge is 7 kilometers long, and its outstanding characteristics are many curves, many holes, many ponds, and many waterfalls. Some people say that the Black Dragon Gorge has 99 bends, 99 pools, 9 holes and 18 waterfalls, and the small ones are not counted. There are many caves in the Black Dragon Gorge, such as honeycombs, and between the steep and tall stone peaks of the stone mountains, you can see caves of all sizes everywhere, and those caves are either in the middle of the mountainside, or at the foot of the mountain, or between the stone cliffs. The more famous ones are hanging pot cave, water curtain cave, Juxian cave, lotus cave, Qunfo Temple, Luanshan cave, Yang Shimei cave, Zhoujia cave, and Wang Hongmengxi cave. The hanging tank hole is located in the southwest of the spiral cliff mouth, shaped like a hanging tank hanging upside down, the hanging tank hole is suspended in three directions, and the bottom is bottomless, hanging high on the cliff; Zhoujia Cave legend three kingdoms during the Zhou Cang lived, the cave can accommodate hundreds of people, the cave walls are shaped stalactites; The area inside the lotus cave is about 100 square meters, and the ground at the bottom of the cave is like lotus petals, a pine grows in the middle, and the head of the tree protrudes out of the cave; Yang Shimei Cave is located in the northeast of the spiral cliff, the cave area of 40 square meters, legend has it that in ancient times there was a medicine farmer named Yang Shimei, who lived in this cave for many years, and was buried in this cave after death, and posterity called this cave Yang Shimei Cave; Qunfo Cave is located on a cliff about 80 meters above the ground, with Flagpole Peak in the east and Oxhorn Peak in the west. The main cave is about 2,000 square meters, like a hall of ten thousand people. There is a stone Buddha in the main cave, so big! It slept flat on the seat of the Buddha, listening to the babbling water. Next to the Sleeping Buddha, there is also a stone Guanyin, who holds a jade bottle and scatters drops of nectar into the world.
Walking forward from the Qunfo Cave Canyon, the winding paths, the peaks turn back to the water, one after another deep pools, like "golden thread hanging gourds", there are a series of colorful waterfalls. The famous ones are Suolong Waterfall, Chain Waterfall, Dust Waterfall, Sungai Waterfall, Fairy Fish Waterfall, Bead Curtain Waterfall, Witch Waterfall, Nameless Waterfall, Guansheng Waterfall, Black Dragon Waterfall and so on. Lock Dragon Waterfall Cloth: The cliffs on both sides of the waterfall, like two heavy gates, lock the way, and the waterfall twists and turns, like a fairy yarn, silk wisps flying, fluttering and sprinkling. Under the waterfall, there is a deep pool that is as horizontal as a mirror, crystal clear, bathed in the sun, hidden in the moon, swimming in color, and is also a natural bath. Dust Waterfall: From a distance, it is very similar to the dust in the hands of the gods. The dust flickered, and the pearl jade rolled down, silver and white dazzling, and the momentum was overwhelming. Sungai Waterfall drops by more than 20 meters, forming a white practice flying straight down, giving people a feeling of "flying straight down three thousand feet", where the surrounding mountains are tightly surrounded, the forest is dense, the surrounding area is very quiet, and the sound of water is also particularly pleasant. The witch waterfall flows down from the cliff, for many years, forming a lump of water rust stone, the waterfall goes down, forming a bunch of whirlpools, from a distance like a white-haired witch bathing in the water. Even more coincidentally, on the right side of the waterfall there is a boulder shaped like the face of a pig with eyes fixed on the witch. Form a "Diagram of the Eight Precepts". Emerald Waterfall drops 16 meters, the terrain here is like a basin, surrounded by mountains and rocks, dense forests, everything is in the shade of green trees. Springs fly in the forest, trees grow beside the water, I don't know whether the trees stain the water, or the water reflects the trees, even the flowing air is permeated with thick greenery. The Black Dragon Waterfall is the farthest waterfall in the Golden Silk Gorge, and the Black Dragon Spring flows out of the cave, singing all the way and flowing down, like a black dragon jumping stream.
