Zhang Lin refused three times the opportunity to recruit the central "ministries and commissions" of the Yuan Dynasty without examination

During the Qing Dynasty, there were three well-known ancestral halls in Zouping County, namely Fan Gong Ancestral Hall, Fusheng Ancestral Hall and Changbai Ancestral Hall. In the south, there is the Three Sages Ancestral Hall in the Wulong pond of Changbai Mountain, and the shrine is dedicated to these three people who are admired by the Zouping people. Zhang Lin, a Changbai gentleman who could shoulder to shoulder with Fan Zhongyan and FuSheng, was a civilian educator of the Yuan Dynasty, and his ancestral hall was in Qilipu, east of Zouping County.

"Mr. Changbai" Zhang Lin

A native of Zouping County, The Ming Dynasty Ministry of Works Shangshu and Crown Prince Shaobao Zhang Yandeng's "Records of Mr. Changbai's Ancestral Hall" recorded: "The southern ten miles of Zouping County, the mountains are stacked on top of each other, stretching like a green screen, and changbai mountain is also." Mr. Yuan Zhang Pro, the word cautious and, taste reading in the mountains, flooded through the history of the scriptures, teach the disciples, three signs can not afford, called Mr. Changbai Yun. Ming built the 'Zhengshifang' to commemorate it. Seven miles east of the county, it is said that mr. reading the former site ......... Called Mr. Changbai Ancestral Hall. ”

Zhang Lin studied in the Changbai Mountains and opened a college, which was famous for his cloth clothes and was known as "Mr. Changbai". Readers from the Liaodong Peninsula to the Central Plains came from far and wide to study. Among his protégés are Zhang Qiyan, Zhongcheng Zhang Pu, Zhang Cheng, Li Xian, and so on.

In the fourth year of the Yuan Dynasty (1311), Emperor Renzong ascended the throne, and the emperor invited the world's famous Confucians to serve as instructors in the Guozijian, saying: "Do not limit qualifications, fruit and merit, even if you are white, you are also appointed." Zhang Lin was also elected to serve as the superintendent of the State Zi because of his ability and political integrity, but he did not want to be an official, and returned to Changbai Mountain to continue to preside over the academy after only half a year.

Although Zhang Lin was cloth cloth, he was good friends with well-known scholars at that time, such as Zhang Yanghao and others. He greatly admired Fan Zhongyan. In the sixth year of Yanyou (1319), The Changshan Temple was built and completed the following year. Zhang Linzuo wrote, he said: "Although Yu is old, he does not feel as strong as ever, and he does not let go, and he is happy to write a book." ”

Zhang Lin's family lineage

Zhang Lin's ancestor was Zaoqiang, Hebei, who moved to Zouping to avoid floods. In the early years of the Yuan Dynasty's pacification of Shandong, the people's livelihood was poor, Zhang Lin's grandfather Zhang Shun was good at financial management, good at planning, and when his life was just stable, he hired teachers to open schools, and the children in the village benefited from it. During the cold season, Zhang Shun personally sent firewood to the teachers and students for warmth. When Zouping County built the Xuegong Palace, the host advised Zhang Shun to contribute, and Zhang Shun said: "I most hope that my children and grandchildren will become materials, where is the reason for not doing my best?" ”

Zhang Shun had 5 sons, the elder Zhang Kezhong, who was Zhang Lin's father. Zhang Kezhong was diligent and studious in his youth, and when he traveled to Jinan, Jinan Hou specially selected 20 students to specialize in legal research because of the abolition of the law. Zhang Kezhong was not only selected, but also ranked among the best in his achievements. In the third year of the reign of Kublai Khan (1262), li Xuan, the governor of Yidu Province, rebelled against the Yuan Dynasty and occupied Jinan and other places. At a critical moment, Zhang Kezhong abandoned his family business as a scholar and followed the Marquis of Jinan to Dezhou to ask for help from the imperial court and gather subordinates, and was promoted for merit.

The southern stronghold of the Yuan Dynasty in Shandong was Tancheng, which confronted the Lianhai of the Song Dynasty. The Yuan Dynasty set up a mansion of ten thousand households here, sent generals to guard the town, and built a strong fortress. Zhang Kezhong was hired as an aide by the zhenshou general, and when the two armies faced each other, Zhang Kezhong repeatedly made strange plans, constantly winning victories and receiving rewards many times. In the early years of the Yuan Dynasty, the Yuan army crossed the Huai River to attack the Song Dynasty, and was ambushed by the Southern Song Dynasty, and Zhang Kezhong won a great victory with an anti-ambush strategy. When the Yuan army returned, the Southern Song army blocked the river with huge warships on the Huai River, and the Yuan army was a small boat, which was not vulnerable at all, and at the critical moment of facing the total annihilation of the army, Zhang Kezhong investigated in depth and said to the leader of the Yuan army: "There is a certain law of the rise and fall of the Huai River, at noon, when it is the shallowest, we do not need to take a boat, we can cross the river on foot. Under the guidance of Zhang Kezhong, the Yuan army retreated completely.

In the ninth year of the Yuan Dynasty (1272), the Yuan army crossed the Huai River again, preparing to cross the Yangtze River in one fell swoop to eliminate the Southern Song Dynasty, lacking horses in the middle of the way. Zhang Kezhong was specially selected and returned to Jinan, Yidu, Hejian and other rear areas with dozens of horse herders to mobilize horses. They sneaked day and night, did not lose a single horse, and completed the mission on time. Subsequently, Zhang Kezhong, as an aide, continued to follow the general Wanhu to pacify Changzhou, Suzhou, and Hangzhou, all the way to the South China Sea. In the fifteenth year of the Yuan Dynasty (1278), he was promoted to the position of general Shisara and governor of Yitan WanhuFu. Nineteen years of experience in Sheng Chengshilang and Huaihai Recruitment Division. Twenty-one years, served as a crossbowman in the Ten Thousand Households. Twenty-two years later, Shengtong TaitunTian lifted. In the first year of Dade (1297), he served as a tuntian lifter in Tashan, Xu, Pi, Yizhou and other places. In the ninth year of Dade (1305), Zhang Kezhong died of illness at the age of 71. In the third year of Taiding (1326), the imperial court posthumously awarded Binzhou Zhizhou and posthumously awarded zouping county.

Zhang Kezhong not only could not release the scroll himself, but also urged his son to be quite severe. He himself "went to five drums every night, recited the book without sleep, and obeyed the difficulties of the same column." "Zhang Lin was not smart when he was a child, he could not afford to hire a husband at home, so he went to other people's homes to study, and every night when he went home, Zhang Kezhong would definitely check his homework, and if there was a mistake, he would not be happy and did not eat. Because she was an only child, his mother was distressed by her children and did not eat. It wasn't until Zhang Lin answered correctly that his father was willing to eat and his mother didn't eat. Therefore, Zhang Lin developed the habit of reading every day, never dared to slacken off, and after more than 70 years old, although his eyes were a little blurry at night, he still insisted on reading.

When Zhang Kezhong lifted Suqian, Zhang Lin was already 50 years old and had been with his father for more than half a month. Whenever he saw his son having some leisure, Zhang Kezhong said sternly: "Read! Therefore, Zhang Lin hurriedly picked up the book to read, and Zhang Kezhong had a happy face.

Mr. Changbai Ancestral Hall

During the Jiaqing period, there was a lawsuit because of the matsuri field of mr. Changbai's ancestral hall. Zhang Shan and Zhang Shiqiu accused each other of encroaching on the sacrificial field. Zhang Jirong, the agent of Zhixian County, summoned all the people involved in the case to the temple, and he wrote down the sacrifice in public: "There is no Mr. Yu Hou Kun, and there is no Hou Kun Why Hou Kun. Now I tell you that you can't decide, please sir. The height of the gentleman, the majesty of the towering, the spirit of the gentleman, the clear and clear. Yes, silently bless his heart; if he is not, heaven forbids him. God is not far away, and He has come to feed. ”

Burn after reading. He himself sat under the willow tree, observed the shameful reactions of the people, and judged the case: "In this field, there is no basis for the one who sets it, there is no basis for the sower, there is no basis for the heir, and there is no taxation. The corresponding official received the official rent for the Spring and Autumn Festival, so that Zhang Shan was divided into four points, rotated for the year, received the rent for sacrifice, and the remaining funds were used for the light of the temple, and the cigarettes were easy to be eternal and the temple was always new. ”

Zhang Jirong's judgment won unanimous praise from both parties and the gentry. After 7 years of litigation, a dynasty of ice release, Jiaqing five years (1800), everyone agreed to erect a monument chronicle and asked Zhang Jirong to write an article. Zhang Jirong modestly attributed the successful settlement of the matter to Mr. Changbai's kindness.

In the last year of the Qing Dynasty, the Changbai Temple fell, and Zhang Kaidong's "Over the Changbai Mr. Ancestral Hall": "The Lonely Desolate Ancestral Hall is nostalgic for the ancient Yu, and the grass remnants of the Monument Zhou Daozuo." The soft dust flies day by day, and the silence is like the clouds of the South Mountain. The stone bridge leads the river and breaks Yokota's hundreds of curves. Frost darkened the sky and smoke, and several birds gathered to cry dead trees. After ren was happy to see Xiwen, he used Qing cao to prepare Zhongzi. Alone in the thick of people, running to the world's wind and looking up to. ”
