Carter revealed that Sun boss Savile tried to sabotage his plans to return to the Suns

Just when it was thought that the situation of Suns owner Robert Savile would not be worse, another former player made unpleasant accusations against him. This time, it was Carter who claimed that Savile instructed his players to deliberately injure the experienced guard when he returned to Phoenix.

Carter revealed that Sun boss Savile tried to sabotage his plans to return to the Suns

On Espn's NBA Today, Carter recounts his return to the Suns and how Savile told his players to "kick him out":

"As a comeback player, after I finished playing there, he walked into the dressing room – my two team-mates told me they were reliable and believed what they said – and he was very unhappy with my performance when I got back to the Suns. We won the game and he wanted them to remove me from the team. Don't let me stay in the team. Because he felt like I was showing myself to him and his team. ”

Carter played at the Suns for just one season, but was fired immediately after that season ended. The former All-Star was subsequently drafted by the Dallas Mavericks, where he contributed a lot to the playoffs alongside Dirk Nowitzki. He went on to become a veteran on several teams, such as the Kings, Grizzlies and Hawks.

Carter was referring to that game in 2012, when the Dallas Mavericks played against the Phoenix Suns on January 31, 2012. Carter did play well, scoring 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting (5-7 at the back). His efforts left the Suns in a 122-93 defeat, which could upset Savile.

Admittedly, the story doesn't feel real. It feels like a scene from a movie. Based on what we know about Savile, there's a good chance that the Sun boss will actually do it.
