Zhejiang Potato 13 was selected and bred by Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, passed the approval of Zhejiang Province in 2005, and won the "First Prize of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province" in 2011. It is a high-starch and multi-purpose variety, with smooth potato skin, beautiful potato shape, potato block spindle shape, light red peel orange yellow meat; per 100 kg of fresh sweet potato can produce a dry starch rate of 20-22 kg. It has been recognized and left a good reputation in processing enterprises such as starch, vermicelli, fries, etc., and among the edible people such as baked sweet potatoes and steamed foods. And in 2017-2020, it won the "National Delicious Sweet Potato Competition" award at the China Sweet Potato Industry Expo for many times.
Hujiawang Village is a famous sweet potato planting village in Yishui, because the old varieties planted before have deteriorated year by year, and in 2017, the introduction of Zhejiang potato 13 planting began, and the planting scale expanded year by year in the first three years, and the maximum number of years developed to more than 800 acres of planting area. Because the village is located on a hilly and gentle slope, crop planting basically depends on the sky, and the yield fluctuates greatly; sweet potato planting is basically an old concept and old habit, there is no weight before fertilization, the yield is reduced in the drought, and the late rainfall is abundant, and the farmer's planting enthusiasm is easy to fluctuate with the yield. In order to reverse the current situation, under the consultation and consultation of sweet potato experts of Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the shortcomings of planting management were identified. In 2021, measures such as replacing bed seedlings with vine seedlings, appropriate dilution planting, dipping cuttings, and laying drip irrigation for timely topdressing in high-yield plots have achieved remarkable results, and the planting yield has increased by more than 1,200 catties compared with traditional methods.
In 2022, it is planned to promote the high-yield supporting technology in the whole village, benefit more growers, and strive to achieve economic benefits of more than 4,000 yuan per mu, so as to contribute to the revitalization of Hujiawang Village through industrial assistance.
