In 1955, Zhang Heli, the grandson of the sixth generation of "Yixing Zhang", unveiled the secret recipe of roast chicken stunts that had been handed down for more than 300 years at the meeting of the Henan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. On National Day in 1956, Daokou roast chicken entered the state banquet.
