Wu Wei's "Map of displaced persons"

In the history of the development of painting in China, there are three "Maps of Displaced Persons" handed down, namely the "Map of Displaced Persons" by the Ming Dynasty painter Wu Wei, the "Map of the Displaced Persons" by Zhou Chen, and the "Map of the Displaced Persons" by the modern painter Jiang Zhaohe.

We have already introduced Zhou Chen's "Map of Displaced Persons" before, so let's enjoy Wu Wei's "Map of Displaced Persons" now. Unlike Zhou Chen, who focuses on the desperate living conditions of the displaced people, most of the twenty-seven characters depicted in Wu Wei's works are folk artists, and although they also have various unfortunate encounters, the whole picture is full of a life attitude of knowing fate and optimism.

The five people in the painting are all blind, the two on the right, one with his luggage looking back and listening to the sound of the piano, and one holding a gong in his hand, leaning his head back, listening to the sound of the fight in front. The three people on the left do not know why they are fighting, and such a scene is very similar to the Song Dynasty's "Blind Picture of the Group under the Willow", expressing the hardships of the life of the low-level artists.
