As a comedy of the king of prime-time ratings, "Modern Family" has exploded into a new point of view. The show is currently filming an episode about the appearance of stars. Who was the first to make a cameo? Chris Martin.
The Coldplay lead singer has filmed a Nov. 29 clip, and the episode has been aptly named "Brushes with Celebrity." He will play himself, with sources stressing that it's not just a cameo, chris will play an important role.
Although Martin has played himself in several productions, he doesn't have much acting experience, probably best known for his performances in the 2006 episode "Extras." In Modern Family, his role was done with Phil, played by Ty Burrell. The story uses flashbacks, in which Phil tells about an embarrassing "health problem" while trying to sell a house to Martin.
It's unclear which other guest stars will appear in this episode, but it's certainly the lineup luxury. The story is set against the backdrop of the Dunphey family telling the story of a verbal altercation between themselves and celebrities.
"Modern Family" airs every Wednesday on abc.
