Click "Follow" above to take you back to the story of the older generation of players in Chinese basketball.
Li Ke, 2.07 meters tall, was born in 1980 in Hebei.
His father is 1.84 meters tall and is a middle school physical education teacher. Her mother's surname is Ke, and she is also a teacher. The father's surname + mother's surname became Li Ke's name.
Because his father loves basketball very much, Li Ke has been practicing basketball under his father's guidance since he was a child. His father was bent on making him a basketball player.

Once, Li Ke was favored by the track and field coach to let him practice high jump. His father felt that it was good for playing, so Li Ke practiced high jump for a year.
At the age of 8, the father took his son's bone age tablet and ran to the provincial sports research institute to predict the height, and the result was 1.98 meters. When participating in the provincial basketball seedling training, he was predicted to be 2.04 meters tall.
At this time, the Hebei basketball team wanted to recruit him to play, but he and his father longed for the Bayi team, and his father had a special love for the Bayi team. When he learned that the Bayi team was in Beijing, his father brought Li Ke, who was 13 years old and 1.80 meters tall, to Beijing.
Bayi men's basketball coach Ma Lianbao received them, but when he saw Li Ke, he shook his head. The size of 1.80 meters is obviously not up to the requirements. Chen Ke, who came to the team at that time, was 1.94 meters.
However, after various exercise tests, Ma Zhi saw that Li Ke was flexible and coordinated, quick to respond, skillful in ball, and a good material. It's just that the body is thin, and the size is almost the same. After thinking about it, I finally decided to measure the age of the bone, as long as I went up two meters, I would stay.
During this time when the results were waiting, the father and son were very uneasy, afraid that the previous prediction would be too different from the prediction this time. To this end, they also went to the Bayi men's volleyball team to try, but Li Ke was short-sighted, and people did not accept it.
The result of the final bone age prediction was 2.02 m. Although it is not as high as predicted in the past, it is enough to qualify. In this way, Li Ke joined the Bayi Youth Team as he wished, and became teammates with Wang Zhizhi and Chen Ke.
However, Li Ke's introverted and gentle personality is incompatible with the temperament of a player. The coach let him play domineering point, and he had to play a little angry. But Li Ke spent all his energy on hard training.
The training of the Bayi team is boring, training day and night all day, and Li Ke constantly hones his ball skills.
In the years of the youth team, Li Ke improved rapidly, and his size also grew upwards, and his position was changed from a defender to a forward and a center. In the end, he and DaZhi and Chen Ke stood out from the group of young players who were considered to be the best quality and entered the first team.
In 1998, Li Ke participated in the Nike Basketball Summer Camp. Stood out among future stars from numerous countries and was named to the All-Star Team. Li Ke can attack and defend at the same time, he defends hard, and the attack can be inside and outside.
In 1998, Li Ke, Together with Yao Ming and Liu Wei, won the Asian Youth Championship.

But back to the Bayi team, he sat on the bench with his ass on the bench.
In the 1997-98 season, Li Ke officially entered the Bayiyi team. But he didn't get playing time at all, basically enjoying the game on the bench and watching the big brothers play on the field, Li Ke learned a lot and increased his game experience.
In a game between the Bayi team and the Ji troops, when the veteran players in the fourth quarter had widened the difference in points to more than 30 points, the coach finally sent Li Ke.
The first time he played, he was very nervous and his body stiffened. Not long after, he seized an opportunity to get into an empty basket. All nervous, then grabbed a frontcourt rebound and hit the basket hard. Scored 4 points in 6 minutes. He hadn't slept well all night in excitement.
In 22 games throughout the season, Li Ke could only play when he was leading by a large score, and although there were not many opportunities, he never dared to be careless. He made 4 appearances and averaged 3.3 points.
For the next 2 years, he was at the end of the bench and became the best guardian of the water dispenser. Although the Bayi team has won the final championship in recent years, he has almost no playing time, and Li Ke is not discouraged at all, thinking that he must strive for more playing time and make more contributions to the team.
It was not until the 2001-02 season, when Wang Zhizhi went to the United States to enter the NBA, that Li Ke ushered in the opportunity to truly show himself. There wasn't much in the regular season, averaging 6.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.
In the playoffs, Wang Fei boldly used Li Ke, playing nearly half as much as in the regular season, averaging 11.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
Especially the first match of the semi-finals against Shandong. Li Ke, who came on as a substitute, performed well, scoring 15 points in the second quarter to help the team tighten the score. In the end, 3 points narrowly defeated Shandong, and Li Ke had a double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds.
However, in the finals, he lost 1-3 to Yao Ming's Shanghai team and won the second place.
In the 2002-03 season, Li Ke was still a substitute, but his playing time increased significantly. In the Bayi team, there is no clear substitute. As long as you play well on the pitch, you can win more time.
In the regular season, Li Ke averaged double figures for the first time per game, scoring 11 points and five rebounds.
In the playoffs, there were 13 points and 6 rebounds, coupled with the heroic performances of Liu Yudong and Li Nan, who defeated Guangdong Hongyuan 3-1 on aggregate after losing the championship last season and regained the championship trophy again.
Li Ke participated in the competition for the first time as a main player and won the championship, which was of great significance to him, and he also ushered in a peak period in his career.
A few days after winning the CBA championship, he was selected for the national team coached by Jiang Xingquan to prepare for the 2003 Harbin Asian Championships, and left the final list in the fierce competition, and won the championship with the team.
In the 2003-04 season, Liu Yudong, the "God of War", missed the whole season due to knee surgery. Li Ke played his best statistics in his career, averaging 17.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. The Bayi team reached the finals for nine consecutive times in the playoffs, but eventually lost 1-3 to Guangdong, and Guangdong Hongyuan won the league for the first time.
In the 2004-06 season, with the return and retirement of Liu Yudong, the Bayi team also missed the finals for the first time in the playoffs, once 3rd and 2nd.
In the 2006-07 season, Wang Zhizhi returned to the Bayi team, and the strength of the team increased greatly. Li Ke played full season, averaging 12.6 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. The Bayi team defeated Guangdong Hongyuan in the finals to win the CBA championship for the 8th time. This is also the last time the Bayi team won the championship.
Since his first selection for the national team in 2003, Li Ke has lost the 2004 Athens Olympic Games and the 2006 World Championships in Japan due to his defeat in the same position and the impact of his own injuries.
Until the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, due to Du Feng's injury, Li Ke was recruited to the national team again by Yunas, and participated in the competition with the team and won the championship.
Since the 2008 Olympic Games were held in Beijing, the Chinese men's basketball team directly won the quota.
In 2007, the national men's basketball team sent a second team, mainly young players, to the Asian Championships in Japan, and Li Ke was selected as one of the few veteran players, averaging 8.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. However, due to the obvious lack of strength of the team, it only won the 10th place in the end. This was also the last time Li Ke fought for the country.
In 2007, the national second team participated in the Asian Championships, and Li Ke, the left one
In the 2007-09 season, the Bayi team struggled under the policy. He missed the playoffs for the first time in the 2008–09 season. Li Ke performed decently, averaging about 10 points per game.
In the 2009-10 season, Li Ke once again ushered in a small explosion, averaging 35 minutes per game, scoring 14 points and 5.5 rebounds. In the end, the Bayi team ranked 6th.
In the 2010-11 season, due to the impact of injuries, Li Ke's playing time also decreased, averaging 7 points and 3 rebounds per game. The Bayi team ranked 7th in the regular season and the last time the Bayi team made the playoffs.
At the end of the season, Li Ke chose to retire, and serious injuries affected his career. It can be said that Li Ke's injury is entirely due to hard training and accumulation over time. His calf muscles were calcified, forcing him to leave the pitch at just 30.
As a member of the Bayi team, Li Ke has been in the team for more than 10 years and has always been proud. He has experienced the glorious period of the Bayi team and also experienced the lows of the Bayi team.
After retiring, Li Ke did not leave the Bayi men's basketball team, nor did he leave the court, he picked up the coaching whip. Li Ke became the coach of the Bayi Youth Team and continued to work hard for the Bayi Men's Basketball Youth Training, which he struggled for for nearly 10 years.
However, in October 2020, the Chinese Basketball Association announced that the Bayi team would no longer participate in the CBA League in the future, and the Bayi team officially withdrew from the league stage. The Bayi team, which once dominated the CBA league for many years, said goodbye to the professional league once and for all.
Fubon Group has always had a close working relationship with the Bayi team and "inherited" the CBA qualification of the Bayi team.
In July 2021, the CBA League officially announced that Ningbo Fubon Men's Basketball Club completed its club registration with the Chinese Basketball Association and will join the CBA family in the 2021-22 season. Li Ke was confirmed to join the team as the head coach.
Li Ke returned to the first team and appeared in the public eye. Due to the obvious lack of overall strength, the team is at the bottom of the standings. Li Ke can only continue to learn and sum up experience in failure, and hopes that Li Ke will continue to contribute to Chinese basketball again.
