Two years ago, by chance, a fangjiao fish from Indian waters was identified by a local fisherman. Native Indians call the fish "Telia vola" and it's expensive, he said. A few days later, the fish appeared in the hands of fish glue merchants, and it was confirmed that its fish glue was house glue. However, the name "vola" spoken by the fishermen and the original records should be caused by different local languages, and they are likely to be the same fish. Soon, two or three more fangjiao fish were successively caught in the waters of the Bay of Bengal, and after many confirmations, the corresponding fish species of fangjiao can basically be determined as twill large spiny fish.
Twill echinos, belonging to the genus Oftleaceae, originally belonging to the yellow-lipped fish subfamily Bahabinae, belongs to the same family as the Hong Kong money trout, mainly from the waters of the Bay of Bengal in the northern Indian Ocean. The Bay of Bengal is bordered by the Indian Peninsula to the west, the Indochina Peninsula to the east, Myanmar and Bangladesh to the north, and the giant delta of the Ganges and Braputra rivers at the top of the bay, and it is this Ganges estuarine fishery that forms the Twill Echidna.
The fresh fish maw of the twill echinacea has a smooth shape, resembling a yellow-lipped fish maw, and does not have a dendritic appendage similar to the red-billed bladder or the white-flowered fish maw, which can also reflect the fact that the room glue does not have a "water outlet hole".
On May 15, 2016, in Yangon, Myanmar, a golden fish was sold for 32 million Kyats, equivalent to 180,000 yuan. Relevant news reports say that it is a yellow-lipped fish, but from the fact that the pectoral fin of the fish does not have black spots, it means that this one is not a yellow-lipped fish, and the fish should be a twill large echinacea, that is, a house glue fish.
In fact, fangjiao, money eel glue, red-billed eel glue, Annan glue, etc., their fish species belong to the totoaba family of fish, the appearance is more similar, the average person is difficult to identify. Among the many totoaba species, the yellow-lipped fish is the most precious and rare, and was listed as a critically endangered species by the IUCN more than a decade ago, which is of great concern. Therefore, considering factors such as exposure and impact, some news that belongs to other fish is always hyped by the media and merchant fishmongers as "yellow lip fish".
Although there is no official data on the population ecological assessment of the fish species of the fish glue, the population of the large spiny fish, etc., it is generally believed that the number of fish species is currently scarce.
